Dear Vietnam Veterans,

i have been reading some history on Vietnam and the war we
were involved in there. and am really seeing for the first time
how much was accomplished! there was a real Global threat
of the flow of communism. if it hadn't been for the work of
the US soldiers and the South Vietnamese, i believe communism
would have flourished. it kept the Soviets busy and sucked their
pockets dry. an old Korean Marine veteran has said - the Vietnam
war "broke the back of communism". i never fully understood
that. but i do now. i wish they taught this in the schools.

you guys deserve a big thanks, and i'm giving you mine now,

i had to come back and edit, for it seems my subject heading
and post don't jive. but they DO. that was the point i was
going to make. what our soldiers are doing in Iraq and
Afghanistan is the same - only with the muslim radicals.
and the fighting of it here at home... finding the money
that supports it and cutting it off. it will suck this evil
movement dry. studying the Vietnam War really makes
it clear why the war in Iraq was and is so very important
to this war on terror.
