				| Last week i sent a card out to PFC. Barton told him if he ever gets to nyc that the beers are on me. His mother sent me a really nice thank you by email. here it is:
 Dear Eddie,
I am Cindi, Foster's mom. I want to thank you for taking the time to write my son. He is recovering form surgery and is to return to Iraq as soon as the dr. releases him. Your letter helped lift his spirits!!! Please keep him and ALL of our TROOPS in your prayers!!

 Many thanks!!!
 God Bless
 Cindi Barton

i emailed Mrs. Barton back inviting her to this forum.
 I think she'll receive a warm welcome.

Is he the one that was beat up at the Toby Keith concert?

I think so, that's the name I remember w/ the Toby Keith concert.

Everyone should write / email him! Let him know we all support him!

I was thinking that too and also thinking we should email Toby Keith to make sure he is aware of what happened. Maybe he could spare 5 minutes to call this soldier.

				| Roger - same PFC Barton.
By the way, they found and arrested the SOB who is "alleged" to have sucker-punched Barton from behind and then beat/kicked him while he was on the ground. The attacker's name and picture were also posted; can't remember if his address was also made public. Details are in another thread somewhere on this board.

				| I had an idea. Ford should give this guy a new Ford truck. Toby Keith is the spokesman for Ford trucks.
The soldier gets a new truck, Ford looks good, Toby gets PR. Everyone wins and it calls attention to the fact that this country must never again turn on its' veterans.

Lets all email Ford + phone call to Ford 800-392-3673 Monday morning. If we all do it they will get the message maybe. I can't find an email address for Toby Keith.
