Yes, this has been answered on this board a couple of times - it first came out in the Billings Gazette.

It's not that big a deal - pretty unlikely that the men's names ended up on the list without their responding to the Admiral's email in the affirmative.

Swifts sent a letter to the editor of that paper, which they refused to print.

The Admiral attempted to contact them to confirm that they indeed wished to be removed from the list, but it appears that they didn't answer him, because their names were removed "in response to the article in the Billings Gazette."

Suffice to say - a whole lot of people are intensely curious about what caused the change of heart.

Old news...and SBVT had copies of their e-mails expressing their consent to be listed as SBVT supporters. It went nowhere when SBVT responded.

BTW, how did you happen on that story?
