Howdy,

I just got back from "only" nine months in Iraq; my billet positon
went away so they sent me back; go figure;
I have volunteered to go back as soon as they can find me
another billet.

I strongly feel that if Kerry is elected it would hurt morale
of everyone in the military, but more so, our guys in the AOR.
I have not met one person, not one, in the field that
thinks Kerry would make a good Pres or deserves the job.

Too bad we cannot speak up (loudly) while in uniform.

Thanks
g

Thank you for your service. It seems that you have already put Kerry to shame in that you've served longer and that you desire to go back. It's good to hear that everybody fighting over there is for Bush.

Gray,
Well lad, you don't have to worry about not being able to speak up while you're in uniform. You've got an army of old farts like me to do it for you.
I only wish that I was still young enough to join you. I was in shoes much like yours forty years ago and I had the good fortune of having good commanders for most of my set. I never made to Viet Nam but you're right now in my old back yard. Kif Halach habibi. Semper Fi for all you blokes. UUrah!!! Very Happy

Thank you for your service. I have had the best
time sending pkgs to our soldiers in the Green Zone
and to the Chaplain there. Being the wife of a retired
military and grandmother of boys, I thank you from
the bottom of my heart for the sacrifice you and your
family are making so that I can enjoy my grandchildren
at the dinner table. I was so upset we couldn't get
pkgs to the soldiers for a while - but where there's a
will there's a way (grinning)...and I send two big
boxes of goodies every month (except this last-my
contact came home).

Now, you have the vets from another war watching
your back and many Americans who honor you all.

When you get back to where you're going, you can tell all the monkeys for me: "Kol wahad al hazubi" and the same for Mr. Kerry ( Basically, Up yours) Twisted Evil

Hey Gray,
WELCOME HOME and thanks for your dedication & service to our grand ole USofA! We are forever grateful.

It seems that what's been happening here is already having a "morale problem" over there. How to nip it in the bud is the question?

Becky...does your house look like mine? The dining room is no longer usable for all the boxes and goodies and stuff piled everywhere, LOL. Now it's pouring into other rooms.

Hang tough Gray, we're with you in spirit. Very Happy

Mine is in my den/office one side are boxes piled high
the other is plastic bags - floor to ceiling - I've become
the dollar store Queen. I always include prestamped
birthday, anniversary, etc cards in them so the men
and women can send something home...I remember
when my husband was stationed overseas...he looked
forward to those care packages and said it was always
like Christmas - and don't even let a protestor get near
me...I have to use a cane to walk and there have been
many times if my daughter hadn't grabbed the cane some
schmuk woulda had a really sore noggin'. I hear
every now and then some wife of a soldier in Iraq
whining and I want to play Ma Bell and reach out and
touch her - she has no idea what being a military wife
means; anyway, I've really gone off topic in the
wrong forum so I'd best stop before my noggin gets
rapped Laughing

If Bozo Kerry were elected President it would have a worse effect on military morale than when Clinton was President. How could anyone in the military, from the top down, have any respect for that piece of slime. That fact alone should be enough for people to vote against him.

Hey, as long as there are folk like us in the country we needn't worry about the place being "Kerryed" away. It's only when people lose their courage that men like Kerry can win. As long as we keep our focus on the mission objectives and don't let him distract us with his rhetorical tricks, we can win every time.
Illegitimi non carborundum: Don't let the bastards get you down. Don't let Hanoi Hairy Kerry get you down. He's all gas and blather. It was so then, it's so now. The devil ain't changed his spots yet. Cool

Grey,
So sorry I am late to the welcome home party..WELCOME HOME, and thank you so much for your service and dedication. If you go back, please let all know how much we are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers..and we believe in you and your mission.

Kerry? I can not imagine what it would do to the troops..I fear you would be under UN command faster than the oath was taken..NO, we will not let that happen..NO way, no how. We will complete our mission, as you and others did yours..it is the least we can do for all that you and your buddies do for us..

PD

You guys on Active can speak out all that you wish - the same as the rest of us. Just canīt do it in uniform and cannot publicize your military status while doing so. The protectors of the Freedom of Speech are not prohibited from excercising the same.

Hey lads, I made a mistake when I gave you that web address last night.
It should read www.GeorgeWBush.com/VoteEarly . I don't usually screw up like that but we just got over a hurricane and a couple of tornadoes up
here and we just got our electricity back. It's been a mad couple of days
with trees down, mud slides, washouts and everybody running helterskelter about the place. I had to carry buckets of rain water up two flights of stairs to the head so we could keep the place running and the place was beginning to stink. I guess I got a bit banjaxed with it all Rolling Eyes
