The latest PA poll from Rasmussen has Bush up 48 to 46 so it's basically back to being a dead heat.

Thats very bad news for Kerry since polls taken before the debate had Bush trailing Kerry by 2 or 4

Imagine how far up Bush would’ve been if Kerry had “lost” the debate.

According to what I've been told. There has never been a presidential contender who lost the election when he was winning in the polls after
Oct. 1. Whoever was ahead has ALWAYS won.

Is this true... historically speaking? Anybody know?

According to the San Francisco paper (ugh) Kerry's lead has shrunk to 8 points. That is not good news for Kerry, he was up by 20+ points. This poll was pst-debate, btw. California really ought to be divided up at about Sacramento, so that the people in the south could have a chance to be counted.

I'm sorry, but I just am not believing this thing is as close as they claim. I think we ought to be fighting for every single vote, because we have to counteract the ********* cheating, but I still think Bush is out in front by 8-11%.

We must focus on the key swing states ie; Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Post any Polls indicating the standings in those states so that all the Bloggers and the rest of us with huge Mailing lists can pass them on.

I sure hope you're correct. In MLB they also say that who ever is in first place by the 4th of July will win the pennant. In most cases it's true.

I would think your assessment would be true, however, George Bush need not step on too many toe-popper's before the election.
