If we had today's media in WW II, we could not have won. The media would have begun demoralization of our troops after Kasserine Pass, or Guadalcanal, emphasizing day by day, the death drip rate. And, in the runup to D-Day, the CNN reporters in France would be noting the civilian casualties in French railroad yards from Allied bombing.

The media are doing a terrible disservice to our country at a time of war. We need to begin to change that, by countering the leftwing propaganda still rampant on our nation's campuses and in the press. We need to fight, fight, fight -- beyond just this election, to take back our country from the America haters and America bashers.

You've hit the nail on the head Truegrit.

Today's print and electronic media are so driven by market share that they're totally oblivious to the core elements of the stories they report on. My girlfriend quit her job as an assignment reporter for the local ABC TV affiliate because of the lack of objectivity on the part of the station; the stations' mindset was "if it bleeds it leads".

Thank God for all the brave servicemen and women of WWII....if it hadn't been for their sacrifices the U.S. would have been very different place post WWII.
