John Kerry's sister was in Australia the last six months, trying to defeat the Australian PM, John Howard, one of our best allies. His Labor Party opponent promised that, if elected, he would have Aussie troops out of Iraq and back home before Christmas. Kerry's sister was a major money contributor and organizer of the dual-citizen US/Aussie citizens in support of the Labor Party. Needless to say, the good guys won.

Kerry was counting on PM Howard's defeat, so he could claim that all of our Allies were abandoning us. Too bad for him it didn't work out that way. PM Howard in his victory speech reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the US effort in Iraq.
