From http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/7/13/142250.shtml :

On Friday, July 9, the Kerry-Edwards campaign held a fund-raising concert at Radio City Music Hall. Whoopi Goldberg engaged in unprintable sexual references to President Bush, combining the president’s family name with references to the female anatomy. They did the same with Vice President Dick Cheney’s first name, this time referring to the male anatomy. John Mellencamp sang a song, probably one he wrote, referring to the president as a "cheap thug" and a "Texas bandito." Reporters who were present said other performers joined the chorus with other personal attacks on Bush. At the end of the show, Kerry and Edwards appeared on stage and Kerry thanked all of the performers, saying they conveyed "the heart and soul of our country."

In response to reporters’ questions, spokespeople for John Kerry later said, "John Kerry disagrees with some of the performers’ comments, just as he disagrees with Vice President Cheney’s unrepeatable, unacceptable and unapologetic insult to a U.S. senator."

This idiotic comparison - of a stream of continuous obscenity at the Kerry-Edwards fund-raiser, compared to a private expletive spoken by Cheney after the Senate was out of session, is typical of the Left's and Democrat's inability to understand nuance and context - especially regarding matters of morals and behavior - and/or their contempt for the public who they believe are too stupid to do so. Either one is pretty bad.

Irrelevant Comparisons
Example: A hundred dollars is a good price for a toaster, compared to buying a Ferrari.

That was a real slime affair. I concur the comparison is just not there, not to mention Kerry had his own "F" comment in the Rolling Stone Article, but of course that doesn't count. The Bush administration requested the recording of the event be released for the public to judge if that is the people's viewpoint, Kerrys manager said they thought that would be against FCC. So another letter was written by Ken Mehlman saying it was legal, can't wait to hear the answer this time. for letter: www.georgewbush.com

Haha!

Guess SlimFast didn't think that the performance was the "heart and soul of America," either. Due to a growing "Boycott Slimfast" movement, perhaps, Slim Fast has dropped Ms. Goldberg from their team.

Quote:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Comedian Whoopi Goldberg (news) will no longer appear in ads for diet aid maker Slim-Fast following her lewd riff on President Bush (news - web sites)'s name at a fund-raiser last week, the company said on Wednesday.

Florida-based Slim-Fast said it was "disappointed" in Goldberg's remarks at last Thursday's $7.5 million star-studded fund-raiser at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

"Ads featuring Ms. Goldberg will no longer be on the air," Slim-Fast General Manager Terry Olson said in a statement, adding that the company regrets that Goldberg's remarks offended some customers.

Republicans have expressed outrage over the fund-raiser for presumptive Democratic nominee John F. Kerry and his vice presidential running mate, John Edwards (news - web sites), in which entertainers lined up to skewer the president.

The New York Post said of Goldberg's appearance at the event: "Waving a bottle of wine, she fired off a stream of vulgar sexual wordplays on Bush's name in a riff about female genitalia."

A spokesperson for Goldberg declined immediate comment.

Slim-Fast is a unit of Anglo-Dutch food-to-detergent group Unilever Plc .
