Posted: Monday October 11, 2004 9:12 pm Post subject: Osama Bin Laden captured or killed in Pakistan

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/08-21d-04.asp

Interesting revelations are coming out from Pakistan. According to Pakistani media and some Websites his driver and cook were captured. In the last six months no word has come out from Bin Laden’s mouth through video or audiotape. The man is sick as hell with imminent Kidney failure. Speculation is widespread that he died in Pakistan or is captured and is in Pakistani military hospital. The biggest achievement of the Bush Administration is bringing Pakistan to a realization that they have to get rid of Al-Queda and Bin Laden in the process of doing so.

The best things Pakistan and Saudis can do for George Bush is to deliver live or dead Bin Laden before November election. Indication is coming from Pakistan that is exactly what is going to happen. If live or dead Bin Laden can be transported to US, it will be remarkable achievement by Bush Administration as well as Pakistan. Pakistan knew very well that Bin Laden and Mullah Omar were in tribal areas of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan! Recent lull in Border operations by Pakistani Army is another indication. Pakistan officials inadvertently have said on CNN and other media that more than 100,000 Pakistani troops are on the Afghan border in the tribal area. Why so many troops are needed unless they were really after big fishes of Al-Queda?

Grapevine has it that like Saddam; Bin Laden will show up just before the election. That will not only fix the victory for Bush, stock market will sky rocket and Oil price will collapse!

Ann Colter remarked on Sunday that bin Laden was dead and was killed in DEc. How she knew that and the rest of the world does not I haven't a clue...who knows? Sure wish he was.

Saddam was captured last December 2003. What U.S. election occurred at that time?

If there were any truth to this, it would be a great symbolic victory. But it would be a 2-edged sword.

I don't believe, and never have believed, that Osama bin Laden is the real head of Al Queda. When he's killed or captured, Al Queda will just continue operations as usual, and it will probably have a devastating effect on the man-in-the-street's morale in the war on terrorism (problem of unfulfilled expectations).

Bush hit the nail on the head the other night. This is a global war; UBL is not our only enemy; don't fall into the Kerry trap. It isn't going to end with the capture or killing of UBL.

That's right. OBL is only one part of the cancer that is terrorism. Al-Queda is only one part of it too. THere are nests of the vermin all over the place and it is a global war just like Bush said.

If OBL is dead and the Pakistanis roll him out just before the election then the Dems will SCREAM that it was a set up.

We need to get used to the fact that no matter what Bush does it will be WRONG. I wish the Repubs would grow a set and just tell the whining Dems to SHUT UP and pound sand.

I think the master stroke was getting India and Pakistan to put aside their differences so Pakistan could move many of it's troops from the Kashmir region to the western border.

Anyone think Bush aids made trips to India? Cool

this has been a big rumor for a while - that OBL was actually killed in Tora Bora. Seems they just can't get solid DNA proof but feel strongly about it. Even a special forces Cmdr illuded to it in a FOX interview recently.

At the moment, an official status of "undead" may be
ideal for OBL - not a leader, nor a martyr, nor a
body that turns up with questionable timing. Let
radical islam know we think his remains aren't even
worth looking for.

Further, an announcement of his demise would encourage
the Party of Defeatism to declare the WOT over, and
that terrorism is once again merely a nuisance.

> OBL is only one part of the cancer that is terrorism.

We have been fighting these people since "the
shores of Tripoli". They have been cutting throats
since the eighth century. And as OBL himself revealed
by his "Andalusian Tragedy of 1492" remark (the loss of
Moorish Spain), islam has been hating everything non-islam
since before the western hemisphere was even discovered.

If he were still alive, I believe that he would be running his mouth. If he is not already dead, I believe he is in a hospital bed in Saudi Arabia. (IMHO)

I live in Andalucia and trust me...it's no tragedy to the Spanish, these people are proud of their heritage and it has nothing to do with Islam, it's all about their Catholic heritage. Though the Moors did leave some beautiful architecture Smile.

I find it hard to believe that he could be alive, simply from the fact that he isn't on videotape going "nyaah nyaah" to the US and Bush.

The terrorist's stock in trade is getting their message out, and instilling fear of further terrorism. What could do that better than daily images of Saddam?

He has a willing accomplice in Al Jazeera, and, no doubt our fine MSM, who salivate at the thought of taking down Bush.

The only way he could be alive and not pumping out vids is if he is so near death, either by hits on Tora Bora or his own kidney disease (divine intervention?) that an image of him would be counterproductive to their cause.

Either way, he is toast.

FOX News has had a guy on claiming that OBL was seen in Teheran by two different operatives as of last Oct. That OBL and his son have been there since escaping from Tora Bora and where they direct the events in Iraq. He is keeping quiet suposedly to give the Iranian mullahs some cover.

He could be dead, he could be there....Where's Waldo?

It's an interesting story, but I'll believe it when I see it. Richard Mintier said bin Laden was in Iran and so did Monsoor Ijaz. On the other hand, Arnold de Borshegrave (sp?) wrote that bin Laden has been seen in a Pakistani military hospital. If they find him, great. Unfortunately, it's going to look too cozy to the MSM.

Actually, just as a counterpoint to think about, the liberals and MSM might just welcome the capture or killing of OBL for reasons you've probably not thought of.

With OBL out to the way, why we'd be back to the terrorists being just a nuisance, some of them would like to argue. And with that fact established, we could cease and desist the war on terrorism and divert all that spending to more worthwhile efforts (you name 'em).

When you're interpreting events in light of politics, nothing's ever linear. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't game the winner of which is the one with the biggest and most effective spin machine.
