Just caught this on Fox News. The Kerry Campaign will launch an Ad tonight on the Flu Vaccine, basicly blaiming Bush for the lack of doses available. As many of you know this was brought up in the last debate. Due to contamination of a large batch of Vaccine there is a huge shortage, and the President had to impose restrictions on its use to only those at extreme risk of infection.
Kerry will blame Bush by saying it is due to outsourcing (it is manufactured overseas). Pretty damned Hypocritical coming from the man who supports outsourcing Prescription Drug purchases to other Nations. Currently all prescription drugs used in the States are from U.S. Companies. Kerry wants to allow imports from foreign producers.
The guy is either totaly inept or a total hypocrite! It blames outsourcing for the scarce Vaccines and wants to outsource the Drug Purchases to other Nations Companies!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
Are the American People so blind that they can not see how much of a Hypocrite this man is?

Awe they really aught to rebute this ad. Blame it on the socialist price fixing broght on by the clintons. They drove out all the manufacturers because they couldn't make any money off of it and they were being sued for it.

Can you say (grabbing at straws) anyone? Someone should leak to the dnc that millions of Americans are concerned about the fair and humane treatment of cockroaches. Then I can kick back with a cool one and wait for Ol'e Stupid to use it on his next soundbite! Wink

They need to counter that it was Hilliary and her great health care program that part of it passed in the 90's causing some of the companys that made vaccines to go out of business......

The vaccine problem actually started under Clinton's watch. Due to the
changes he made to the vaccination program, it no longer was profitable
for the smaller vaccine manufacturers in the US to continue production.
Only a few of the larger companies still make vaccines in the US. That
has caused the US to depend more and more on outside manufacturers.
Vaccine production was not "outsourced" in the way that Kerry's refers
to in this ad. If you make it impossible for a company to afford to make
a certain product in the US, they will elect to stop making it! That is just
common sense. Add to that the fear that all US vaccine producers have
of being sued by Edwards-like lawyers, it's no wonder that we have a
severe shortage.

Just as a side note, wasn't the vaccine quesion one that Kerry didn't talk about in the debate? As I recall he just side-stepped into his standard spiel about health care in general and didn't say a word about the shortage of vaccines, though that was the question he was supposed to comment on.

If the New DirtyDeal Democrats run with this ad it will open the door to a great opportunity for the Bush admin to rebutt. The Dems are obviously in full-on panic mode now, trying to shave off a few of the AARP votes.

I mean, really: "We can't get our flu shots because of the eeeee-vvilll President Bush?" Good heavens, these people are pitiful. Nonetheless, the Bush campaign must counter attack. Sigh. This means another check.

Shesh, this campaign is costing me a relative fortune. I haven't had a new dress since last spring. Twisted Evil Rotten Democrats.

This ad, as dirty and low as it is, I am afraid will be effective in scaring people. The uninformed will likely fall for this (hopefully these are the people that werent going to vote for Bush anyway). In my opinion this could end up hurting President Bush (although certainly the blame shouldnt be directed at him).

This vaccine shortage is an example of the type of govt control healthcare
system that Kerry wants to get implamented....So don't get sick...

Keep in mind that Kerry's ads will be spreading fear aimed at the unthinking voter from this point forward. They are a sign of desperation. The Kerry campaign is banking that no matter how offensive their commercials and statements are that they will not lose their core. What they fail to realize is that they won't lose the votes to GWB but the votes will just not be cast. the more of these ads that show up, the fewer of Kerry's core will be able swallow the kool-aid and will just opt out.

Can you say "desperate". This ad reeks of desperation, first Mary Cheney, now flu vaccine. The dems internal polling most look pretty bad. They also can't be happy with the Washington Times report showing military voters breaking 3 to 1 for Bush.

I read an excellent article today on this, I believe in The Weekly Standard. It made the case that the reason we do not have companies making vaccines is the trial lawyers have made it unprofitable to do so.

The government thought insurance companies would cover the litigation costs and the vaccine producers would pass this on to the customer. When the government refused to put a cap on awards, they were shocked to discover that the insurance companies would not underwrite the producers.

When Kerry says "hope is on the way" he means to the trial lawyers.
