This is a link to a thread of the same name on Bandit's Hideout. The evidence presented is new to me and seems convincing, although I have not verified it.

I've been convinced for a long time there are ties between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Besides what Bandit has there I've read a story about Saddam having met directly with bin Laden and Zarqowi has had ties with Al Qaeda all along and was protected by Saddam. There's also the Shiite Cleric who the papers are calling the head negotiator in Fallujah. Khaled al-Jumaili is the leader of Mohammed's Army in Iraq, and chairman of the mujahideen shura council. Al-Jumaili is to have had close ties with the Baath party and probably had ties to Al Qeada through Mohammed's Army which is an extremist group based in Pakistan who's leaders have met with bin Laden.

The problem with every connection between Saddam and al Qaeda is that none of them are totally provable enough for W to use in the election. I don't believe that the documents have been confirmed as authentic for instance and without rock solid evidence it could be risky for Bush to bring up these connections.

Info on Dr. Mylroie, she is an expert on Iraq.

http://www.benadorassociates.com/mylroie.php

Not only does she think Iraq was involved to some extent in 9/11, but also the WTC bombing of 1993. Ramzi Yousef was most likely an Iraqi agent, and his cohorts referred to him as "the iraqi".

Also, Ramzi Yousef met with Terry Nichols of the Oklahoma city bombing in the Philippines. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

But Judicial Watch is suing Iraq for the Oklahoma City bombers victims.
