Can we start of list of the verified lies that Kerry has told so far?

I know we here are used to all of his ****, but so many others out there aren't. (see my post under Kerry's intelligence for a summary of a conversation with a friend regarding Bush's intellect and the Oil for Food scandal).

If we had one long list, we could email friends, papers, blogs...you name it. That may have more impact than than seeing onsies and twosies....

I'll start -

Kerry claimed to have run in the Boston Marathon - no evidence exists for this athletic feat.

Admin note: If you could include a link that supports the statement, all the better. There is a wealth of collated and linked references (Thanks to Beatrice1000, Kate, NNN and many others) in both the R&R and Wintersoldier forums which will PROBABLY already have the link you need

Kerry claimed his dog was on his swiftboat and a mine went off under the boat and the dog was blown though the air and the dog landed safely on amother swiftboat. But the boat was not damaged and no one on the boat was injured.

I'm sorry - maybe I didn't make myself clear...

This isn't designed to be a "vent" thread.

Kerry not meeting with the Security Council obviously isn't news to us - it's "just another" Kerry lie.

However, MANY people do NOTknow the extent of his lies. To save time for people who want to share that information, can't we compile one brief list (included link) that SUMMARIZES his lies. Maybe there is already a list in here and I didn't see it.

Does that clarify?

1. John Kerry has claimed numberous time he met with the entire UN Security Council - thereby supporting his claim he could get better cooperation from other countries in the war on terror. But of the five ambassadors on the Security Council in 2002 who were reached directly for comment, four said they had never met Mr. Kerry. The four also said that no one who worked for their countries' U.N. missions had met with Mr. Kerry either.

Christmas in Cambodia –

On March 27, 1986, during a speech opposing President Reagan's policy in Central America, Senator John Kerry had this to say:
Quote:
"Mr. President, I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by the Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the president of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared -— seared -— in me, that says to me, before we send another generation into harm's way we have a responsibility in the U.S. Senate to go the last step, to make the best effort possible in order to avoid that kind of conflict."
[see Congressional Record - Senate of March 27, 1986, page 3594]

Refuted by Washington Post -

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A27211-2004Aug23.html

No Man Left Behind -

During the Democratic National Convention, Kerry used the Bay Hap River incident to suggest that he alone returned to rescue Jim Rassmann a Special Forces solider who was on Kerry's boat and was tossed into the river. Kerry described this incident to the American people as "No man left behind."

The Truth -

Kerry officials were forced to acknowledge that Kerry's boat actually left the scene when another swift boat operating on the other side of the river was damaged by an underwater mine. Kerry officials now admit that Kerry's boat returned after several minutes to pull Rassmann from the water while three other swift boats remained on site to render assistance to the injured crew of the one damaged boat. Campaign officials once claimed that Kerry returned to the scene under withering hostile fire to rescue Rassmann after all the other swift boats left. But other accounts from eyewitnesses of that day confirm that the other boats stayed on site and that Kerry returned to the scene, facing no enemy fire, only seconds before another swift boat was preparing to retrieve Mr. Rassmann from the water.

Met with entire UN Security Council –

I don't have a citation yet - how about his being "in Safwan when the Gulf War ceasefire was signed."...

OK, a little more research gives these links -

My list of documented lies
1) Christmas in Cambodia (actually in Sa Dec)
2) Alston wounded on “Kerry’s boat” (actually Peck’s boat)
3) Did not attend meeting in KC where murdering Senators discussed (FBI reports)
4) Released all military records (no SF 180)
5) Quick turnaround to save man overboard (3/13/69 AAR -5000 meters)
6) Did not shoot VC behind hootch (2/28/69 AAR)

BTW I could not document the “no man left behind” claim at the democratic national convention. None of the speeches seem to make that claim. The video does not seem to be specific to the claim. Emails to the SBVT are unanswered. One answer to a post made here suggested that it is a meme.

Does anyone have documentation to support the no man left behind claim at the Democratic National Convention?

The "No Man Left Behind" story came from Brinkley's biography, Tour of Duty.

You sure there's enough space on the server for this list?
