After all is said and done and the dust has settled a little...I hope that a new book will be written based on many of the insiteful, well informed and thought provoking comments made in this forum. Out of over 100,000 posts there must be a wealth of worthy material. Also in that book should be the reflections of the key players, their comments and observations.

So when will this book be available? It'll be a #1 best seller.

We should also get a book from John O'neill detailing the Swift Vets campaign against Kerry.
That would be very interesting. Especially with "colorful" characters such as O'Donnell.

4moreyears,
I think a lot of the members of this forum would agree with you! A new update to Unfit for Command would be an important addition to the Swift Boats and their history. Getting this history out has been one of the reasons I have been interested in making Swift Boat documents available on the Internet at www.swiftboatarchives.com. Thanks to SBD, we are creating an excellent resource for the study of the Swift Boats and their history. Llinks to some of the threads from this forum are posted and this is just a beginning!

So, I am behind you 1000%!!

It would probably be too late for this election!

If Kerry wins, it would probably be censored, just like he did to "Stolen Honor".

Kerry even censored his own book "The New Soldier" perhaps the cover alone would have been detrimental to his campaign.

You certainly don't think we're done do you?
If that Creep Kerry gets in office, I would hope that this site is instrumental in his impeachment, trial, conviction and removal from office.
A book would be great, but only when we're done with our mission.

As I see it, there are many potential books in the making that have come from the effort begun by a few hundred Swift Vets back in May.

Just a few of the topics that have begun to emerge from this evolution:

1. The correction of the history books with regard to the Vietnam war.

2. The vindication of the Vietnam veteran.

3. The deplorable leftist state (self-admitted) of our mainstream media.

4. The anti-military propaganda that is spoon-fed to our children beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through post-graduate school.

5. The shutting down of conservative thought and speech on our high school and college campuses.

There is a lot of work to do, but I have faith in the energy and enthusiasm of humans after participating on this board since May and seeing how much work is volunteered by the members here. Very encouraging!

6. And let’s not forget about Hollywood’s role in perpetuating Kerry's 1971 testimony that has never been cross examined.

Amen, CWV - we've had how many Vietnam movies made and only ONE which came close to truthfulness? (We Were Soldiers Once, And Young? Is that the one?)

The correction of history - lots of true stories to be told, out there.

The vast majority do not include drug addiction, hair-trigger tempers, murder, recidivist criminals, homeless societal drop-outs, rape or mayhem - contrary to the myths that Kerry and Co. continue to perpetuate today.

No need to ask why John Kerry's actions of 30+ years ago are relevant, today - first, he's still backing them up, today and just as in the past, he's still pushing Abu Ghraib situation as a black mark against the military and this administration.

Never again!

Does anyone have a scan of The New Soldier's cover? I'd like to get one and hand out fliers...re: Kerry's treasonous past...

And all the books that get written to chronicle this time should end with a chapter about the trial and imprisonment of John Kerry.

Gosh I'm redundant.

Intelligent minds think alike...GEE! All this time I thought I was a dolt, the left even had me silenced for decades, everytime I'd start going over what was done to the VN vet I'd always feel shunned.

Those who were wronged should should be heard from.

I believe that this pursuit of the full truth needs to be revealed so that those who have been silenced for eternity may know that they have not been forgotten nor forsaken.

Those who were wronged ARE being heard.

The Vietnam veteran and all his/her friends and family members have been a huge factor in this election.

Kerry would have walked away with the election in his pocket a long time ago if the Swifts hadn't come forward and given everyone else something to rally around - truth is a compelling master.

It won't happen in a year or two, but the process has already begun.

Win or lose, John Kerry will have hell to pay until the entire truth is out and he is no longer a credible candidate for a county office anywhere in the country.

By the end of two years, we'll have targeted other leftist, socialist, anti-defense, anti-military candidates and we'll keep them from being re-elected, too.

Lots of work to do - oh yah.

But, the Vietnam veteran is no longer alone. Lots of brothers and sisters both older and younger are standing with them, now. Vets will be THE force to be reckoned with. Wink
