There have been plenty of hints on this Forum that a final revelation or two may be released this week from the SBVT side (I am not revealing anything by saying this that pro-Kerry people have not already seen on these boards).

My concern is that this revelation may come out too late. The Bush DUI story is often cited as evidence that Thursday is the best day for a release. But I am not sure that this rule would apply in the case of a revelation that is anti-kerry for the following reasons:

1) A DUI is about as intuitive a charge as there can be. Anyone can immediately grasp and digest it. Anything that requires even the least amount of inferential reasoning is going to take a bit more time to for non-political folks to process and digest.

2) Need to allow time for momentum to build and force MSM coverage. There was no doubt that media would turn around a story on a Bush DUI in hours in order for it to lead the evening news (and stay there all weekend). But I think an anti-Kerry revelation will only make the MSM when the pressure becomes so big that they can not ignore it (this took about a week with the Rathergate story). There should be some time built in for this momentum generation or the media may just try to run out the clock.

3) With some justification, the MSM will be worried about being taken in by a last minute forgery (etc.). A little time has to be provided for authentication, etc.

Finally, it is my humble opinion that if this revelation is any kind of jigsaw puzzle that requires piecing documents together in a way that suggests, but does not definitively prove the result -- that is, if there is no smoking gun -- I am afraid it is already too late for this to have an impact. May fire up the base (which is always welcome) but probably will not impact swing voters.

I write all the above with zero inside information. Just my thoughts and concerns. Now, back to my stress reduction deep breathing exercises...

Even if proof is there, the connections are too long....been dealing with this on another long thread...

But...you never know! Gotta keep plugging, never know what individual piece of the puzzle or layer of the onion will excite somebody....

I am just as much in the dark about the October Surprise as "Green", but if there is something big, SBVT shouldn't wait for another reason:

PEOPLE ARE ALREADY VOTING IN FLORIDA AND OHIO!!!

While revealing something now might give the Kerry people time to react, we don't want too many early voters saying, "$#!+ I should have voted for Bush"!!!

I was embarrassed to realize that I didnt stress my appreciation for all the SBVT and POWs -- and their friends on this site like NavyChief -- have been doing on this issue. I will always be grateful. And regardless of what happens on Nov 2, they can have the pride of knowing that they made an impact and said what needed to be said.

Sorry to wring my hands without stressing this important point at the outset.

I doubt that anyone is "waiting" to spring a surprise a day or two before the election. As was pointed out the election has already begun. My wife and I will vote on Saturday and I expect to see a lot of people there. However, it takes time to verify and hunch and tie donw the loose ends, and I expect that Navy Chief and the others we appreciate so much are very busy getting something ready for publication. I wish I could help, but I wouldn't know what I might do. Thanks all for your dedication to the preservation of freedom.

I would like join all of you in thanking NavyChief for all the work. Also like to thank all on this board for their endless hours of research and late nights and all those who picked up stories and launched email campaigns... I firmly believe in turning your hand to what your hand can do understanding all is in the capable hands of God. May all the prayers, work, sleepless nights, frustrations, and endless hope manifest itself in the form of a Smoking Gun, This is a privilege to be a part of.

Do not grow weary in doing good for you will reap in due season.

Still hoping, working, and waiting for the October Surprise!!!

We will need it, the Dems sure will hit Bush with something like last time, right before the election.

I've been trying to make this point for awhile. It's almost certainly too late for an October surprise on Kerry. If anybody does have anything it will not be covered by the MSM. It will make it on the internet & talk radio, but most people will not know about it. The MSM will just run out the clock. If anybody comes up with anything on Kerry the MSM at most will just say that it's a right wing conspiracy & the Republican dirty tricks committee at work.
However, if somebody has something else on Bush, it will be the top story instantly.
As the Swiftees have proven, there is enough info about Kerry that damages him when people know about it. But for the most part people still don't know it.
If Stolen Valor would have been shown it might have helped some.
So far the October surprise is that there is no October surprise.
Pray..................................
