Kerry blasts Bush for losing wepaons from Al Qaqaa

380 Tons of Explosives Missing in Iraq

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,136466,00.html

The only problem is that there were no munitions there when the UN inspectors visited on March 8,2003, two weeks before the war started.

Did you try sending those links to anybody? Of course, I don't know who would cover it, since they are all in bed with kerry. I'm amazed at the amount of kerry lovers who are not angered by the continual lies put out by the MSM. The end justifies the means to these people, but just like the sheep who fell for Hitler, some day, it will be them on the business end of the lie, and then they'll have no where to turn for help.

My mother, who is an avid Bush supporter, is a good example of someone who fell for this headline also as something that is hot news and serious happenings, although she does not see it as a Bush goof up. I explained to her that this is old news and that this is a good example of the kind of stuff to be reported by the MSM in the week leading up to the election. Don't be surprised at anything that will be reported in the next few days.

Watch this one. It won't hurt Kerry; he'll just blame the NYT for "bad intelligence." But it should hurt the NYT. The rest of the MSM might not be willing to touch Kerry, but they will turn on themselves. It's called killing the competition.

I'm all over it. Watch Druge's site evolve.

This is going to be HUGE story.

It becomes painfully clear that Kerry's campaign playbook is the NY Slimes. he picks it up, reads it and criiticizes Bush for whaever's in there.

Imagine that stentorian tone:

"Bush hasn't done enough about earthquakes in Japan. It shows his incompetence."

Well, that dog not only stopped hunting, it bit him in the a**.

I don't mean to rain on anybody's parade, but, "nothing" (as used in the earlier article) might mean WMD or evidence thereof. At least SOME explosives were apparently there when our guys 1st got there (the vials of white powder.) Still, we did have troops there and no mention is made of 380 TONS of explosives per "IAEA officials fear the material can be made into a plastic explosive, which can be molded and used to detonate nuclear weapons." You'd think that'd be a pretty significant find, eh?

Is it possible this is a ploy to sucker Bush's adversaries into making a lot of stupid statements right before the election? If so, it's ok with me!

Idiotic...just like kerry...to bring out old news and recycle it.

Oooopppps! I just gave kerry a plank for his b.s. platfor. He would state something like this..."I have a plan to recycle old news so that overwrought journalists like O'Donnell won't have to tax their feeble minds conjuring up new news"!

From Kerry Spot on National Review Online:

Laughing Laughing Laughing
NBC BLOWS A HOLE IN THE KERRY ATTACK ABOUT THE EXPLOSIVES [10/25 09:09 PM]
Jim Miklaszewski of NBC News pretty much dismantled the New York Times attack on behalf of Kerry today.

NBC News: Miklaszewski: “April 10, 2003, only three weeks into the war, NBC News was embedded with troops from the Army's 101st Airborne as they temporarily take over the Al Qakaa weapons installation south of Baghdad. But these troops never found the nearly 380 tons of some of the most powerful conventional explosives, called HMX and RDX, which is now missing. The U.S. troops did find large stockpiles of more conventional weapons, but no HMX or RDX, so powerful less than a pound brought down Pan Am 103 in 1988, and can be used to trigger a nuclear weapon. In a letter this month, the Iraqi interim government told the International Atomic Energy Agency the high explosives were lost to theft and looting due to lack of security. Critics claim there were simply not enough U.S. troops to guard hundreds of weapons stockpiles, weapons now being used by insurgents and terrorists to wage a guerrilla war in Iraq.” (NBC’s “Nightly News,” 10/25/04)
If Jill Abramson, managing editor of the New York Times, had a shred of concern over her paper's reputation for getting the facts right never mind objectivity or fairness, she would be running the correction - or at least this blatantly contradictory information - in the giant headline font and above-the-fold location that today's story got. But I guess the interest in echoing the sentiments of Maureen Dowd is more important than getting it right at the Old Gray Lady

Miklaszewski got the date back to April 10, 2003, but that's after the war started. The Fox link show that the UN inspectors were there on March 8, 2003, two weeks BEFORE the war started. That's why it is SO signficant.

They disappeared on the UN's watch.

Democrats don't care what the followup of a headline shows. The initial headline is what most casual democrat voters remember, nevermind the details. The idea is to accuse Bush of something, splash it in the news, and while honest people are investigating the details and debunk the lie, they are readying their next slanted accusation. This is the standard operating procedure. If you want to know more about this procedure, look up the meaning of "demagogue" in the dictionary.

Do you think we should tell the Kool-Aid drinkers at the Kerry site that the NYT is full of poop, or should we allow them t bask once more in the appearent knock out blow for the Bush campaign?

(Edited out link - sorry - when we name another forum, we attract all the moonbats - and they're not fun to clean up after. Aside from all the spilled KookAde, there's the matter of moonbat dung - highly toxic. Wink )

Why is it that rags like the NY Slimes can get away with running this crap above the fold but not the correction?

Oughta be that the correction goes into the same spot as the FUBAR.
