For those interested in such things - a total eclipse of the moon is now beginning. When fully eclipsed, about 10 or 10:30 p.m. EDT, the moon will look orange, kind of like a pumpkin. With Halloween a few days away, it somehow seems fitting. Take a break from your computers and take a look at it. "Strange signs in the heavens" Shocked

It's Bush's Fault.....We should have had more troops guarding the moon.

I'm in Rochester NY and it's starting here, it is so cool!

My little girl (6 years old) was trying so hard to stay awake to see it, but she fell asleep. I'm going to wake her up in a little bit, when it's almost totally eclipsed, so she can see it though. I may regret waking her up, but oh well, it doesn't happen every day! Rolling Eyes

We have a beautiful cloudless sky to watch it tonight! Anyone who is familiar with this area, nows we don't have many cloud free days or nights! Laughing

The best part is the first moment when the moon starts to peek out again. Be ou;tside for it if you can.

What a beautiful night in New England....

The Red Sox are scoring faster than Bill Clinton, John Kerry is going down quicker than Monica, and the moon is in a full eclipse...

It will be the Cubs' turn next year.

Here's a cool factoid: Did you know that the reason the moon turns that orangey-red color is that it is a reflection of all the sunrises and sunsets occuring during the eclipse, all over the world?

Think about it. Our God is so awesome.

Here is a sign of how sick my mind has become: My husband said the next one would be in March 2007, and the first thing that popped into my head was: "I'll be fighting Hilary then."

Perfectly crystal clear night in E. Tx. too. What a show!

Dusty

Wow! We live way out in the woods. The wolves and coyotes just started going off big time. This is erie. The moons going out, the critters are going off.

Maybe not. My working theory is that the new dems will go down with the SS Kerry if they don't start jumping ship and soon. The old dems like Ed Koch and Zel Miller will then begin to rebuild the party.

It could happen.

Booteeful. I wish I had time to set up my camera properly and get some pictures. Pretty amazing. Looks like a chrysanthemum ball, red to yellow. Smile

Nice break - go outside for a minute!

Moon Disappears From Sky! Bush Is To Blame, Says Kerry

At shortly after 9 p.m. this evening, the moon slowly disintegrated from the evening sky over the Eastern seaboard, disappearing entirely sometime after 10 p.m.

Democrat presidential nominee John F. Kerry blamed Bush for the disappearance. "Earlier this evening, it was right there in the night sky." Kerry droned monotonously as he pumped a finger upward. "It vanished right under his nose -- or rather went over his head -- on his watch. Did the President notice as it was stolen away? And who is to say if it will be used against us at a later time, possibly creating tidal floods that will cover the entire Atlantic Coast."

"Under a Kerry Presidency, the Moon will not disappear! I will not let it happen! I have a plan! They have only fear!"

When asked for comment, running mate John Edwards stated that under a Kerry Administration, those suffering from lycanthropy will no longer need to fear the full moon, and vampires will rise up out of their crypts by daylight.

Tanniker Smith reporting.
