Dear Swift Boat Veterans,
I love this website, and the fact that you have banned together to try to stop what might be the final and greatest insult to Vietnam Veterans, the election of John Kerry.
I am a Boatswain's Mate from the USS Oriskany CVA-34, I served on three seperate tours to Vietnam from 1969 through 1973. We were the last ship rotated out of the Gulf when the war ended.
I think we owe it to those who did not come home, those MIA and POWs, and to ourselves to defeat this incredible phony. Today I hear Kerry's attack dog, Howard Dean, has accused the Bush Adminstration of issuing trumped up Homeland Security warnings for political gain. If the country can't see through this disingenuous crowd of sixties hippies and Anti-War politicians after all this time, we may be in for some very serious trouble.
My point is what you are doing is tremendously important. I salute you. Redouble your efforts and so will I. If I had to condense my thoughts to a bumber sticker slogan, I'd say.."A vote for Kerry is a vote for Al Qaeda". They'll be dancing in Bora Bora if the Anti-War crowd gets it's way this time. And, the streets of America will not be safe. _________________ USS Oriskany CVA-34
