Despite wherever one's partisan allegiance lies, one has to be extremely naive to allow John Kerry promote his jaded military career without any questions of accountability. Is John Kerry necessarily a bad or evil man?? Certainly not. Should he be allowed to represent the democratic party in the upcoming election? Of course, he earned that right after years of public service. Nevertheless, his questionable behavior (i.e. the damaging "Winter Soldier' testimony as well as his duplicitous actions in the field) in the past must be taken into account, when today he flaunts a career he once was very ashamed of. He forfeited that right many years ago when he turned his back on his brothers in their greatest time of need. An abstract ideal such as Honor cannot be conveniently thrown "on" and "off" like an old coat to suit one's purposes.
