Anti-Bush Rally Scheduled Across From White House Thursday

(CNSNews.com) - An anti-Bush political action committee is bringing its displeasure with the president's re-election practically to the White House doorstep on Thursday.

In a noontime rally in Lafayette Park (across from the White House), the group called "ReDefeatBush" will lead a demonstration against what it calls "the suspicious mismanagement of the 2004 election and the escalation of the war" (the fighting in Fallujah).

In a press release, ReDefeatBush said it wants to "expose the crimes against democracy committed in Ohio and Florida and show them as part of a pattern designed to benefit Bush...and to get Americans to face the truth about Iraq and about the huge deception of every war since World War I." The deception is that "more war will bring peace," the group said.

"There is compelling evidence that the voting irregularities last week were not random," said ReDefeatBush founder David Lytel.

"In Ohio and Florida there are cases of precincts reporting more votes than voters, widespread and systematic delays limited to Democratic areas, and reports that the single most important county in Ohio -- where Bush generated a third of his statewide margin over Kerry -- blocked outside observers from monitoring the vote count at the direction of the Department of Homeland Security, making it the only one of Ohio's 88 counties to violate state law this way."

The National Park Service has issued a permit for Thursday's demonstration, ReDefeatBush said, noting that this will be the first protest rally since a pedestrian mall officially opened earlier this week on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House.

Anna Burger, the international secretary-treasurer of the Service Employees International Union, is listed as the featured speaker at Thursday's rally.

ReDefeatBush says it reaches approximately 50,000 Democratic activists on a regular basis through its website and e-mails.

Another union pops up and is involved in this type of action. Isn't SEIU a union under the AFL-CIO? Didn't the AFL-CIO unions attack Republican campaign sites and fund other anti-Bush 527s?

They really have my curiosity up on what is in it for them.

I don't believe that they do this for their members, I know better. All they care about are those forced dues, which, at the moment, they can force the collection of by law.

Hmmmmmm. . .

Service Employees International Union... Saw a news blurb on Fox yesterday evening that someone (union members?) has filed a federal lawsuit against this union for using member dues to support political causes (which is against the law).

This is not going to help the Democrats. Most of the people I know are so glad this was not like the 2000 elections, with the dimpled chads and lawsuits. Any intelligent person should be able to see that these people are intent on hurting our Republic. I feel that this is an attempt to make America look like a third-world banana Republic.

These are the probably the same folks who, back in 2000, cried every vote counts and then dis-regarded the military vote. If they are concerned about fraud, why aren't they checking out California's votes. In 2000, California "accidentally" provided absentee ballots to illegals. This past election, I had to call the election board 5 times just to get them to enter my change of address into their system. Why aren't these folks concerned about the voter fraud in Wisconsin or about Democrats always trying to change the rules before, during, and after an election. These folks are just like John Kerry, lying frauds.

Hello,

The AFL-CIO

Here is what the Union does not want you to know..

Within weeks of assuming office, Bill Clinton and Al Gore issued a new order rescinding this worker-friendly requirement, opting instead to keep employees in the dark and ensure that union dues continued to flow into Democrat campaign coffers.
These self-proclaimed ‘guardians of the middle class’ demonstrated their actual contempt for working people by allowing the illegal confiscation of money from workers’ paychecks.
Because some 80 percent of all union dues go to political campaigns and virtually all of that goes to Democrats, this rigged, unfair system also creates an uneven playing field. No other group can automatically take money from unwilling and unwitting contributors; they must appeal for contributions by making a persuasive case. Then a person must actually write out a check if they wish to contribute.
When Democrats talk about campaign finance reform, they refuse to discuss Paycheck Protection proposed by Republicans. Now we know why.

Here is what the Union does not want you to know..
