These are'nt all the reasons I'll vote for bush but some of them.
This showed up in our paper this week in the Letters section:

Good job by Bush

To the editor:

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January. In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January.

That’s just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, think about the following:

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea' North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent; Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the three years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Queda, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000-plus of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but, it took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Dravidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to Call the police after his Oldsmobile sank.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!

Our Commander -In-Chief is doing a great job! The military morale is high! The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize these facts. --------------Jim Pileggi

Those of us who have traveled the world from Vietnam to Timbuktu know full and well that the poorest of the poor in these great United States live a life great wealth when compared with most the rest of the world. This is why millions from every nation on earth are constantly trying to immigrate here, each willing to work for a living and not asking for 'health insurance' or 'unemployment benefits' or the rest of the Socialist platform.

All they want is the same opportunity you have had. They less likely to squander said remiss scholarship.

John Kerry is running on his abilities to lead this nation in a time of war.
200 of his fellow sailors, nearly all of his comanders have made it quite clear that Kerry was a fraud in 1971 right thru to today.

God Bless these brave soldiers and God Speed on this the closing of a disgusting box of mendacity sown by John Kerry for a lifetime.

He says 'we've turned the corner,' but 42 million people lack health insurance, 1.9 million have lost their jobs, we're bogged down in Iraq and deficits have reached record highs. We need a president who will restore trust and credibility to the White House." - Kerry campaign spokesman, Chad Clanton.

Go here and read the rest. Not willing to read what your opposition says? Then maybe you have a closed mind . . .

I really don't see anyone here overly singing the praises of George Bush. He has some obvious weaknesses (i.e. lack of fiscal conservatism, the signing of the bloated billion dollar education bill consponsored by Ted Kennedy, etc.). He is tied up with big oil and big industry.Meanwhile, Senator Kerry is in a love affair with the AFL-CIO, the teacher unions and lawyer associations just to name a few.
Though many people forget George W. Bush never really wanted to run for the office of president. He would have rather been Major League Baseball commissioner but eventually gave into Karl Rove's prodding. He answered the call of responsibility to the best of his ability. Sure there were some valleys but one has to admire the president's tenacity & conviction. He basically threw his political neck down on the chopping slab to fight state-sponsored terrorism. Iraq is just phase 1 in the contingency plan to stabilize the region. Its just an apetizer for the real meal. Forget the whole liberation angle. Its a mute point. George W. Bush has taken the fight to the enemy on our terms. Throughout the annals of history, it is has been clearly shown that Jihadists only understand one thing, brute force. While I have concerns about of some Bush's domestic policies, I cannot question his decision to send our troops to battle.

Now let me switch over to your candidate. He's certainly a very intelligent man with a broad range of hobbies. However I have some sticking points with him. Two things we are absolutely sure about John Kerry:

1. He is the ultimate opportunist. John Kerry wanted to be John Kennedy in the worst way. This was a major factor why he joined the U.S. Navy, captained a swift boat and visually recorded his "experiences" with a 8MM camera. The man obviously had political aspirations. Then to top it off when he returns to the States, his "Winter Soldier" testimony to the U.S. Congress in 1971 vaults him onto the political radar screen. A shrewd self-publicization move on the part of John Kerry. Fortunately for John Kerry, his political strategies mirrored his private life. Not only did he marry one multi-millionaire heiress but he eventually married another. Coincidence? Possibly but not likely.

2. He has a habit of bending the truth. His political career is inundated with notorious "flip-flops." From the Vietnam War to his tenure at the Senate Intelligence committee to his vote supporting the invasion of Iraq, etc.

So with this two telling points in mind, wouldn't the casual observer want to hear the 250 Swiftvets out before they buried them under an avalanche of criticism?? The person they are accusing has a dubious history. What has John Kerry told us in the past that has concretely allowed us to give him the benefit of the doubt? Just something to think about.
