I had two complete tours in country, 69, 70. and 71. Was with Army E.O.D. Started in Quang tri then moved down to An khe with a few stops after that. My OIC's were as good as it gets, but there in lies the rub, if your da wee is looking out for the needs of his men he will do anything it takes to accomplish this goal. My captain threw his military career away by looking out for us. John Keary is on the far end of this spectrem, from what I can see he was only looking out for John Keary. We never put ourselves in for any decoration, we would of been laughed out of the squad. I also question someones ethics claiming to be a "hero".
