The following may be of interest to those who would like to continue the battle against the radical left:

David Horowitz (“Center for the Study of Popular Culture”: MISSION; web magazine: FrontPageMag)
“SHADOW PARTY PROJECT - what the liberals don’t want you to know”
Quote:

....The fact that the Democratic Party is now a hostage of the radical left should be of major concern to Americans from coast to coast. Our mission is to get that message out into our communities as soon as possible. ....Together we'll expose not only the role John Kerry has played in the left's war against America's traditional values, against our way of life and our culture, but also the people and organizations that now control the Democrat party..... I believe we must expose the men and women who have co-opted the Democratic Party and reveal them for the radical, anti-American forces they are. -- SHADOW PARTY PROJECT

Quoting from David McCullough's "John Adams". This says it all and is mostly a paraphrase of John Adam's "Thoughts on Government":

Quote:
As to the ideal of a nation of equals, such was impossible. 'Was there, or will there ever be a nation whose individuals were all equal, in natural and acquired qualities, in virtues, talents, and riches? The answer in all mankind must be in the negative.'
Even in America where there was 'a moral and political equality of rights and duties,' there were notetheless inequalitities of wealth, eduation, family position, and such differences were true of all people in all times. There was inevitability a 'natural aristocracy among mankind,' those people of virtue and ability who were 'the brightest ornaments and the glory' of a nation, 'and may always be made the greatest blessing of society, if it be judiciusly managed in the constitution.' These were the peole who had the capacity to acquire great wealth and make use of political power, and for all they contributed to society, they could thus become the most dangerous element in society, unless they and there interests were consigned to one branch of the legistature, the Senate, and given no executive power. Above all, the executive magistrate must have sufficient power to defend himself, and thus the people, from all the 'enterprises' of the natural aristocracy."

Speaking as one who was born and grew up as part of the "assumed" natural aristocracy I've often found myself in a quandry as to my position and usefulness to society. What was the nature of my abilities and how could I use them to better serve God and my fellow man?
From the beginning I was taught that I could never hope to be a master of anythng or anyone but myself. So I labored to aquire the "ART" of self mastery. Is this I have prospered as much as any man might wish in this life. I have never wanted for anything, material or otherwise.
Today, I have reached what some would call the age of contemplation. And as I look back over the years of my life I see that I have aquired a great archive of knowledge and experience that may be of use given the proper circumstance for its expression.
I am simply waiting for the right circumstance with the right people to come along. Then I might reveal all that I know. Smile
