Right now on Drudge, www.drudgereport.com, is an article in which LR laments the re-election of W. and goes so far as to describe those who voted for W. as "new Hitlers". I hope Red Staters take heed of the low opine LR has for them and 1) not buy her new album & 2) not attend her shows, after all, I am sure she wouldn't want to earn $$$ from "new Hitlers". I think it's funny how lefties throw the name of Hitler around every time someone disagrees with them. Yet if you check in their closets every one of them will have a nice starched brown shirt.

Personally, I'm not bothered by name-calling by the willfully ignorant. You notice no one who actually knows who Hitler was and what he stood for has bothered making the same comparison?

Linda should think tiwice about her words, her buying public has been country, and they tend to vote republican.
if she is not on the boycott list, she should be added. I put her on it (personally for me) some time ago.

If you're a singer, my opinion on your politics is "Shut up and Sing" - to quote a radio personality....

Also, name calling is something that most of us learn is impotent when we're in grade school - remember "sticks & stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me"

And there is also, my personal favorite to being insulted (like being called Hitler) is "I don't get mad, I get even..." so, I don't spend my $$ to support performers who spout such nonsense...

I turned off on Ronstadt back when she dated Jerry Brown, the then hippie Governor of California, then presidential candidate, and now mayor of Oakland. (Imagine dating Jerry Brown. Yeech.) Rolling Eyes

As for the Hitler comparison, there is a rather academic analysis of the close relationship of communism and fascism, and the fact that conservatism is no where near either, ideologically.

Do Hollywood and Musical "Stars" really think we give a hoot what their opinion is? They are severely misguided if they seriously think that we do.

Their statements could be likened to Michael "J" giving us childcare advice. Or Scott "P" the convict giving us fishing tips for a boat ride on San Francisco Bay. Maybe we would listen to Mike "T" the boxer giving us investment advice.

Political advice or comments from these quote; "Stars" is more like this, I see their lips moving but I don't hear anything coming out.
