This election has been an amazing marathon of watching Americans take back their country and it has made me particularly proud to see it happen.

The cartoon above illustrates the latest example by the media of attempting to steal the honor of veterans and soldiers, a pathology that media has expressed since the Korean War. Rather than allow our soldiers to have just one solid victory that they earned with the price of their own blood born on the battlefield in Fallujah, the media perhaps received footage of this incident and in giddy style as they did with the fraudulent memos used by CBS, simply could not wait to broadcast it to attack the morale of veterans, soldiers and all the other folks that believe in the idea of America.

This may be a little long-winded, but it must be said. In order to understand what the American media is, you first have to look back in history at what the Democratic Party was. The Democratic Party was the majority political party in America for many decades, especially the decades following World War II. The soldiers that fought in World War II were also veterans of the Great Depression and that generation was given the honor as the Greatest Generation because when America stood together to fight in Europe for a second time and the Pacific Theatre, we did so with a people that had already been broken economically and were hardened by the experience.

However, since the economic deterioration of the United States that began in the late 1920s was blamed on the political version of the Republican Party in those days, Americans who moved beyond World War II block-voted Democrat ever since and this is proven statistically. The World War II generation held all of the power in veteran's organizations, the media and government. It is for this reason that you still hear Democrats toe the 'economic' agenda party line in current elections, hoping that the young of the Greatest Generation were indoctrinated to recognize that if it weren't for folks like FDR, who would really be there for the people?

Things began to change in the 1960s, however. The Democratic Party was slowly infiltrated by folks that no longer shared the views of the Greatest Generation and the entire party shifted to the left. This shift to the left has not ceased and the selection by the Democrats to have John Kerry as their presidential candidate in the 2004 presidential election merely reflects their collective delusion that the far left is the direction that Americans want to take their country politically.

The Democrats found out the hard way however, that Americans did not want to go to the far left. The World War II generation was dying off in numbers that began to tap into the voting base of the Democrats. Ordinarily, the Democrats could have counted on the older block-vote to seat and push their leftist agendas without restriction, but that generation was disappearing faster than it could be replaced by party handlers on the left.

Then the inevitable happened, and as a veteran you have no idea how pleased that I am that it did happen. The Vietnam Veterans finally stood together to seize the reigns from the World War II veterans. The defeat of John Kerry was a welcome prize in addition to the Vietnam Veterans stepping in to fill the leadership void that was desperately needed to benefit all veterans and America. However, do not lose sight on the real power that was gained, and that power appeared the instant that the Vietnam Veterans stood to take the reigns of veterans organizations, veterans issues and policy. John Kerry was a temporary blip compared to the real objective.

John Kerry will not be back in 2008 either. Current trends in American politics do not allow a losing presidential candidate to return. Kerry is not a Nixon or Reagan. He is not coming back and the media's exploitation of the events surrounding his fall are simply tools to make that fall as painless as possible as he fades away in history. There are too many individuals in the Democratic Party who have their eyes set on a shot at the White House in future elections to allow Kerry to reemerge. Remember, Americans never side with a loser in the modern politic.

Vietnam Veterans are going to bring leadership to veterans and that is what this country needed more than anything else. Vietnam Veterans have the personal experience of having their honor stolen from them, the parade they all deserved taken away without just cause. Then as Vietnam Veterans became ill from the effects of chemical agents such as Agent Orange and other defoliants and methods, it was the Vietnam Veteran and their families that struggled to get these issues recognized and our veterans taken care of. The sacrifices made by Vietnam Veterans after that war provided the means for Persian Gulf War veterans to have their illnesses addressed much more quickly and government denial of those illnesses was almost non-existent compared to the trials and tribulations that the Vietnam Veterans experienced. You have no idea how proud younger veterans are of you folks for making that sacrifice for us. The next wave of veterans that are serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere need your leadership also, so make sure you never fail them. They will be looking to you as the leaders now.

The media's continued exploitation of veterans and war situations to attack the idea of America must be addressed. As the Democratic Party implodes on its own agenda, an agenda that is foreign to the majority of Americans, the media can only be next. Remember how you folks had your honor illegitimately stolen from you and never allow it to happen again. The US Marine that the media shot the video footage of that fired upon the combatant in Fallujah never explained that in the previous day the same unit lost soldiers to an enemy combatant that was booby-trapped and faking death. The media also never explained to the American public, a public that deserves facts, that the primary philosophical creed of the enemy in Iraq is to commit fundamentalist suicide actions to injure, kill and maim as many US soldiers as possible. In the video you can hear the US soldiers asking each other if the combatant was "faking death". This illustrates the enourmous pressure that our soldiers face in dealing with hostile actions in the war.

Yet our media paraded the video around as a war crime and the European media and European institutions picked up on it shortly thereafter.

Folks, make no mistake about who you are up against. You are up against media institutions that believe this election was a "momentary lapse of reason" by the American people and the media is going to try and prove that over the next four years by attempting to bring scandal to everything this pro-American administration does. That means that this election is the first victory of many future victories and the continuation of the struggle that must be led by your generation.

We have a country to our north in Canada that restricts media information that they view "contradicts" liberal points of view in the nation-state. We have Supreme Court justices in the United States subtly hinting to the media that they would approve of US judges "exploring" European liberal law. American media continues to dispense European socialist viewpoints that men like Kerry were loyal to in their announcement as: "internationalists". American media believes that this election was a temporary blip in their world-view and they are predictably reacting as liberals would react under any such stress. The liberal is the creature that fears envy more than anything else. When folks from foreign countries critique the United States, liberals readily step in to "feel their pain" and try to adjust US policy in such a way that all forms of external envy can be accomodated. Then when cooler heads prevail in elections, these same liberals bolt and declare that they are going to "leave the country" because there is "something wrong" with America and Americans who do not share their subordinated internationalist point of view. Kerry represented that pointed of view and was ready to implement it and that is why he was soundly defeated. The media is simply the same as it was when the Vietnam Veterans came home expecting their deserved parade. We must ensure that they are not allowed to steal the honor of future veterans. The challenges that you have tackled were enourmous compared to the simple challenge of protecting this new generation of veterans from folks that have a problem with the idea of America. You have that power.

As a war veteran, I hope that you Vietnam Veterans could invite me to your parade that you will be having soon and that day is coming and I would like to be there the moment that you all stand together as one collective group and embrace each other and finally cast off the lies thrown upon you so the truths of your sacrifices are forever undenied. When your country called, you came. Then you had to deal with folks stealing your honor, men like John Kerry who betrayed you and ravaged an entire generation of loyal Americans. Kerry, the media and all others who participated in that betrayal should all bow their heads in shame and ask each and every one of you for your forgiveness.

Always remember that it was veterans like you that trained veterans like me for war and I will never forget what you have done for your country in war and in this recent presidential election. America called you to serve again in this election and as in Vietnam you did not turn your backs on her in her most desperate hour.

A bow to you, gentlemen,

Somalia Veteran
