On another board I frequent they are talking about some of their husband's and friends being recalled after being out of the service for 10-15 years.

A month or two ago there was this big story about one guy suing to get out of it, I can't remember what branch it was, I'm thinking the Army Reserves but I'm not sure. Around that time, I saw something on Fox News (maybe on Dayside) and they were talking about how there was some kind of discharge that people had taken that allows the military to do this if needed. It had some special term but I can't remember for the life of me! It wasn't stop-loss, it was something else.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I was trying to find a link or something to help explain it to them, but I can't find one.

Thanks!

Ok, I found what I was looking for. It's called the Ready Reserve.

My son was IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve). He's in Kuwait at this time.

We really miss him....Only the second time he hasn't been home for Thanksgiving. The first time was when he was in Basic Training.
