This was in the Stars and Stripes today....I don't think it has been posted before.

The Stars and Stripes

Quote:
WASHINGTON—Even certified Hollywood liberals
were reeling after Chevy Chase’s
potty-mouthed Bush-bashing Tuesday night at the
Kennedy Center, where the actor hosted an awards
ceremony staged by People for the AmericanWay.
For most of the evening, Chase was his usual comedic
self, delivering lines such as “This just in:
resignations in the upper echelon of the Bush administration.
The Bush sisters have resigned and
are being replaced by Paris andNickyHilton. Back
formore news later.”
After actors Alec Baldwin and Susan Sarandon
delivered speeches accepting theirDefender ofDemocracy
awards, Chase took the stage a final time
and unleashed a rant against President Bush that
stunned the crowd. He deployed the four-letter
word that got Vice President Dick Cheney in hot
water, using it as a noun. Chase called the prez a
“dumb [expletive].”He also used it as an adjective,
assuring the audience, “I’mno [expletive] clown either.
... This guy started a jihad.”
Chase also said: “This guy in office is an uneducated,
real lying ******* ... and we still couldn’t
beat him with a bore like Kerry.”
People for the American Way distanced itself
Wednesday from the actor’s rant. “Chevy Chase’s
improvised remarks caught everyone off guard,
and were inappropriate and offensive,” Ralph
Neas, the liberal advocacy group’s president, said
in a statement. “It was not what I would have said,
and certainly not the language People for theAmerican
Way would ever use in discussing any president
of the United States.”
Founder Norman Lear agreed: “I thought it was
utterly untoward, obviously unexpected and unscripted
and all that stuff. And, uh — it was Chevy
Chase. He’ll live with it, I won’t.”

Reflection upon our youth and foolish acts is something most people end up realizing as they grow older and wiser, yet there is a new class of human species which defies this, the radical kooky left wing dummy. Chase fits into this category and like all the rest i.e. Sarandon, Robbins, Penn, Baldwin, Affleck et all can kiss his box office receipts good bye.

It should be read as , " Another potty mouthed foul rant by another Holly weird leftist to nobody's surprise." After Whoopee Goldbrick's display at the Lurch rally last summer, why is this a surprise or even news? Yawn! Just the same old sewage sludge.

Poor Chevy, all those drugs in the seventies really messed up his sense of timing. A anti-Bush rant like this would have been welcomed by the left this summer or early fall. Now even the left is treating him like a doddering old man who can't recall what day it is.

Last year I gave myself a Christmas presant of a really good DVD
recorder. I'm getting a really nice collection of John Wayne movies
(along with violent Japanese anime) and other stuff that doesn't include
the present day Hollywood scene or any of the garbage that passes
for prime time network programing. I don't do without my entertainment,
but I just don't do any CURRENT shows that don't entertain me anymore.

In fact the last DVD that I bought was the new Harry Potter that isn't
made in the USA but the UK. Probably a bunch of British Commies,
but they can rant on their side of the pond and I don't have to hear them.
So without having to get all bent out of shape, I just don't pay to watch
our domestic crowd. It's not really a boycott, it's mainly a profound
lack of interest in what passes for entertainment in this brave new
century.

Oh, to keep on topic: Shove it Chevy!

I'm with you, mate. I haven't watched TV wasteland in years. VCR or DVD and select special events at best. I had a phone call from a pollster doing TV awhile back and told them I did not watch much TV. When the babe asked me about some of the shows on the boob tube, I told quite truthfully had never heard of them. Her last comment in frustration "You really don't watch TV, do you." YEP! You got it.

After the 2000 election I took 3 DVD's with Alec Baldwin I had, good movies too, and I sent them to him UPS telling him to basically stick them!
I did the same with 4 DVD's with Michael Douglas: Stick them!
Same with 1 DVD with Martin Sheen: Stick it!
And 2 DVD's with San Penn: Stick them; go sell them in Iraq!
And I told them all that if their name was anywhere on the flick, I won't buy the DVD, and I won't see it at the cinema, and I won't watch it on cable.
I must not have been the only one to give them a piece of my mind, in their own “Whoopy” vocabulary.

I think Alec Baldwin got the message, he has been silent this election.
The rest have to find out the hard way too!
Hit them where it hurt the most: Their pocketbook!

I thought all these clowns were leaving the country after the election? I like it when they rant and rave to show their true colors to their viewing public. Actors who make some money feel they have earned the right to impose their beliefs on others and to tell you the truth all they have earned is the right to eat in a better restaurant.

Remember the old Anti Drug Ads with the frying pan? This is your brain and this is your brain on drugs; with the picture of an egg frying in a pan. What better example of fried brains; than the outbursts from the so-called Hollywood Elite’.

Cool Cool Cool

I finally invested in cable after 8 years of watching MSM because I've become so frustrated with the one-sided, "We know better than the American people how to run things" attitude. I still don't watch much tv, but at least I have more choices now.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the Liberals are blatently unwilling to let people live their own lives without their "enlightened" interfearance? It seems that if they can't control something 100%, it's not to be trusted and must be destroyed.

Just my opinion, respectfully submitted.

'A World Split Apart' is one of the greatest speeches ever written in my opinion and speaks volumes of that 'something wicked this way comes' we face.

Chevy chase is a has been, he has not made a succesfull film in I don't know when & it is debateable if he ever made one at all. I guess this will get him a few headlines for a few days.

The more those Hollywood Libs bash & show disrespect for the President the stronger the red states become in my opinion.
