CPAC 2005 to Honor Swift Boat Veterans for Truth

'Swifties' to Receive 'Courage Under Fire' Award

 November 30, 2004; 7:30 am

ALEXANDRIA, VA - The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth will be presented with the American Conservative Union's "Courage Under Fire Award" at the 32nd annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), ACU Chairman David A. Keene announced today.

The award will take place during CPAC's annual Ronald Reagan Banquet, February 18, 2005.

"For a second time, the Swift Boat veterans stepped up to serve their country honorably and courageously by telling the truth about John Kerry's tour of duty in Vietnam," Keene said. "Despite vilification, character assassination, and the hostility of the elite media, these veterans dared to tell a side of the story that the American people otherwise would not have heard. John Kerry truly was unfit to serve as commander-in-chief and these veterans had the courage to say so publicly."

Previous recipients of ACU's Courage Under Fire Award include Under Secretary of State for Arms
Control and International Security John Bolton and Chief M.G. Buthelezi of South Africa. The award is not given annually, but only in those years in which someone has shown exceptional courage under fire.

"These Vietnam veterans did not have to stand up and expose themselves to the opprobrium of the liberal media," Keene noted. "They could have remained silent, comfortably out of the public eye and the line of fire. But they put the good of their country ahead of their own personal interests."

On behalf of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, John O'Neill said: "We are honored that the American Conservative Union has chosen our organization to receive this award. We did not go into this seeking recognition for ourselves. We did it for the good the country, for all those who served honorably in Vietnam and who John Kerry slandered, and for all those fallen heroes who did not come home."

				| January 28th in Florida we are having, hopefully our last All Hands meeting to discuss what as a group we achieved and probably just fade away unless jfk decides to run again in "08" Admiral Hoffmann sent out the following orders.
"On behalf of SBVT & POWs For Truth and special friends, I am honored to invite you to what, for the foreseeable future, will be our last "all hands" conference, on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 January 2005."

We have achieved our primary mission but we will always be vigilant to kerry's ambitions toward being POTUS.

While the SBVT & POWs For Truth as a group will stand down, others will continue to take the case against kerry as individuals. I know many of you men and women will also continue to fight against this man also into the future, you should all be commended for your efforts and contributions to a cause that will be remembered forever in the future. YOU MADE and CHANGED HISTORY in a very important election and the future of this GREAT COUNTRY. BRAVO ZULU to you all and feel so good inside for your actions.

I am not an official spokesperson for the group, but this is what I know and feel. God Bless to all of you.

				| No group deserves this award more than the Swiftvets. I have seen the hours of work on this website, the time taken from family and friends,
the disparaging words of the left liberal people and the msm. Undeserved
and the Swiftvets did not let this deter them in any way, the optimism
of the writers on the website that kept all the people reading them stay
 on course.
The entire campagin was phenomenal, truly something to remember
when the word courage is used, when the word perseverence is used,
when the words, caring for your country are used, when honesty of
character is used, the Swiftvets will be remembered.
Return to your normal life, enjoy the respect and real thanks from people who have watched your success in stopping Kerry and remember all the people who say thank you from their heart.
