Let's begin with why we need to save our CROSS. John Baca is a Medal of Honor winner. He risked his life to save his buddies in Vietnam. Here is what this HERO told San Diego City Council on March 8th, 2005 just before five members of the city council voted to destroy the CROSS on Mt. Soledad in La Jolla, California:

We are determined that OUR CROSS will remain atop Mt. Soledad. So determined that we are establishing a "Chain Gang," to prevent any effort to move or destroy OUR CROSS!!
Shortly we'll come up with a sign up sheet on this page. Meanwhile you can volunteer to work a shift (we play to be chained 24/7 if necessary) chained to the cross by emailing Roger at:

You may also sign up right now to volunteer to circulate a referenda petition to stop the destruction of OUR CROSS and force the council to either rescind their vote or allow us to take OUR CROSS to a community-wide vote.
