What the hell did he expect to find - chicken have skin

David Shieding and his attorney, Doug Mann, told their story on ABC's Good Morning America Monday.
"Well, I went out to eat, to get something to eat. I went to an Arby's restaurant. I picked up a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato and took it back to my place at work and sat down and was eating it. I ate about half of it and realized there was something in my mouth and I spit it out," Shieding said.
"I realized it was something that should not have been there. I first got sick. Then I called the health department, the police department, and my doctor," Shieding added.
Shieding said the skin came from a specific individual who worked at the Arby's restaurant.
"He was slicing some lettuce and he sliced his finger. And this object ended up being in the lettuce the next day when they prepared my sandwich. They put the lettuce on my sandwich and that's how it got there," Shieding said.
Mann said Shieding is suing the franchise that owns the restaurant where the incident occurred on June 18.
"We did everything possible to settle the case out of court. Mr. Shieding didn't want to get in papers and didn't want to get on TV. He went through quite a lot, not just with the initial act but emotional trauma," Mann said.
"We did everything with the insurance company for the franchise to resolve it out of court. They saw it as a nuisance value and we did not. That's why we filed suit," Mann added.
