PRAYER REQUEST FOR LAURA: You know I hate Drama Kings or Queens, but I am asking for your prayers today and for the forseeable future. On Friday afternoon, I learned that I have joined the ever-growing group of American women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. As so many breast cancer patients will tell you, it all came as a total shock. I am blessed to be surrounded by people who love me--my family, a wonderful fiance (if he thinks he's going to get out of marrying me because of this little blib, he's sadly mistaken!), my friends, and my church. I am absolutely blown away by how helpful and kind everyone has been--including total strangers who have experienced the same rollercoaster of emotions. The sisterhood of breast cancer survivors is inspiring. I am truly blessed. On Tuesday I will have an operation and within a few days will know more about the future. I am hopeful for a bright future and a "normal" life (well, scratch the "normal" part). Anyway, people have gone through much worse, and I know I'll obliterate this. I am thanking you in advance for your prayers. You are my family. And remember, I'll be back sooner than you think.
SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE TODAY!: Laura's breast cancer was picked up during a simple breast examination by her OB/GYN. The tumor was not even visible on a mammogram! You MUST make sure that you, and every woman in your life does a monthly breast self-examination. Learn to do it correctly, slowly, carefully. If you feel ANYTHING that seems strange or unusual, go immediately to your OB/GYN. Make sure that you and/or the women you know go for an annual gynecological appointment for a comprehensive check up. Laura is embarrassed to admit she had not been to her doc in more than three years. Really stupid (her words, not ours). Don't be afraid to ask your friend, girlfriend, sister, mother, or wife if she has done everything to detect breast cancer. We all need someone to remind us, get on us, demand that we take care of ourselves.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Laura. My mother died following
a 30 year battle with breast cancer. Her sister died only five years after
her diagnosis. She had another sister who also had breast cancer, but she
died at the "young" age of 94. My sister has also had breast cancer, but
thank goodness she is in remission now. Needless to say, I get a yearly
mammogram as I have done for over 20 years since I turned 30. It's
not my favorite thing to do, but, as Laura said, it is really stupid not to
take the time for a yearly check-up.

I just heard Laura on Sean's show saying that the preliminary reports
on the lymph nodes were negative which is really good news! She will
get the full report in a couple of weeks. She said that she really has
"felt" the prayers of all of her loyal fans and that she really appreciates
the emails and calls she has gotten from other breast cancer survivors.

My prayers are with Laura, God Bless Her.

I hope this is not inappropriate. My sister sent me this email last week
as a reminder to get my mammogram. Its funny, but it gets attention for a very important message. I forwarded it to all my female friends
because I care about them!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GO GET YOUR MAMMIES GRAMMED

This is hysterical! Make sure you read the whole
thing. There is a serious message at the end, but
you get to laugh on the way there.

For years and years they told me,
Be careful of your breasts.
Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.
And give them monthly tests.

So I heeded all their warnings,
And protected them by law.
Guarded them very carefully,
And I always wore my bra.

After 30 years of astute care,
My gyno, Dr Pruitt,
Said I should get a Mammogram
"OK," I said, "let's do it."

"Stand up here real close" she said,
(She got my b**b in line),
"And tell me when it hurts," she said,
"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."

She stepped upon a pedal,
I could not believe my eyes!
A plastic plate came slamming down,
My hooter's in a vise!

My skin was stretched and mangled,
From underneath my chin.
My poor b**b was being squashed,
To Swedish Pancake thin.

Excruciating pain I felt,
Within it's viselike grip.
A prisoner in this vicious thing,
My poor defenseless t-t!

"Take a deep breath" she said to me,
Who does she think she's kidding?!?
My chest is mashed in her machine,
And woozy I am getting.

"There, that's good," I heard her say,
(The room was slowly swaying.)
"Now, let's have a go at the other one."
Have mercy, I was praying.

It squeezed me from both up and down,
It squeezed me from both sides.
I'll bet SHE'S never had this done,
To HER tender little hide.

Next time that they make me do this,
I wi! ll request a blindfold.
I have no wish to see again,
My knockers getting steam rolled.

If I had no problem when I came in,
I surely have one now.
If there had been a cyst in there,
It would have gone "ker-pow!"

This machine was created by a man,
Of this, I have no doubt.
I'd like to stick his b-lls in there,
And, see how THEY come out!

Mail this to 13 other females. Now, don't break the
chain! One female broke the chain, her plumbing
became so bad, she now has an outhouse!
OK gals, now that you have had your laugh, remember...

Breast Cancer Awareness...
Go have those b**bs checked out and stay healthy!
Pass the message on to
your mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins,
friends, --- and even your enemies.
Because the WORST enemy is Breast Cancer

Laura has breast cancer! Gosh, that explains why I heard J.D. Hayworth on my way to work out this morning -- he's pretty good, but in the ten minutes it takes me to get to the gym, he did not tell me why he was subbing for Laura.
I am so sorry to hear this news. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Laura.

My wife and I add our prayers and well wishes to Laura. She's a great lady who we both enjoy listening to on her program and when she sits in on Foxnews.

Get well soon, Laura, people like you are badly needed today.

Laura is young and it was caught early. Good luck to her and I wish her the best.,..lost a girl to uteran cancer a couple years back.

J D Hayworth subbed for her today. This blowhard of a former sportscaster is our only hope to replace John (did I tell you I was a POW) McCain. Politics is ugly!

It was very heartening to hear Laura on Hannity today after her surgery.
She said the cancer was very, very small but the doctor said it was an "angrier" type
and therefore he has ordered tests of her lymph glands to make sure
there has been no spread. I pray with confidence that this is the case.

I love Laura and listen to her almost every morning. She so smart, and zeroes in on the very nub
of any story.
I love her quick wit and there is hardly a day that she doesn't make
me giggle at her witty comebacks at the dumb things some Lib has said or done.

A God-loving, pro-life, pro- America woman. She is scrappy, and will beat this.
I ask for her Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God".
