Now there's a young fellow that has some sense. I smell a movie in his future.
Went to a school bus yard, found some keys, matched them up to a bus, loaded it with survivors and headed for and got them to Houston.
Way to go Jabber Gibson. Well done young man. You have earned my respect.
Greta just interviewed him on Fox.

Here is a link to a story on this fine young man.

Bus Trip

This is the spirit that will get people through this tragedy.

The article states he may get into trouble for this, but if they charge him, I will write everyone I can demanding he be exonerated for bravery in the face of tragedy.

Instead of crying where is the help, he acted and saved up to 100 people.

Someone needs to introduce him to the mayor to give his excellency some lessons on initiative, independent thinking and leadership, concepts that are alien to generations that have be taught that the purpose of Uncle Sugar is to solve every problem from cradle (or pre-cradle if the baby is not wanted) to grave. It is a mind set that exists anywhere American style liberalism has a foothold, even here in rural Wisconsin.

Well said! It's exactly these progressive-in-theory, but regressive-in-practice, and politically-expedient programs, plans, policies, principles, and philosophies that have both directly and indirectly led to so many folks being trapped in the modern-day equivalent of antebellum slavery, i.e., the chains of bondage forged by lifelong, multigenerational, welfare dependency, perpetual victimhood, and irresponsibility.

Interesting coincidence. A friend of mine named Andrew Gibson is now traveling from Florida to Mississippi to help out a friend's family. He is taking food, water, fuel, and will drive one of the people down to Biloxi to try to get anything left from their house that they can.

Andrew is just over 21, and volunteered to give up his 3-day Labor day weekend and take a few days off work to help a friend help his family. This is the future of America, just as good as we were.

Please keep him in your prayers.

I saw this fine young man on FOX Friday night. He explained that he had
never driven a school bus before, but he found the key to the bus in a
nearby building that had been destroyed and used it to rescue as many
people as he could. He did not steal a gun and hijack someone else's
vehicle to try to save only himself. What also impressed me is that he
said that, when the bus needed gas along the way, all of the passengers
pooled their resources to buy more. He drove that bus right into the
parking lot at the Astrodome where it is still parked. With the creativity
and determination he demonstrated by his actions, I believe he has a
bright future ahead of him!
