In a classic example of marital give and take, we subscribe to the LA Times. My wife reads it, I don't. Not a big deal after 35 years of marriage.

I saw the following messages on Roger L Simon's site and called the LA Times about our subscription. After threatening to cancel, they gave me a new rate that saves me $200 a year. If anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation, I suggest you call the subscription department.

Here's the messages from Simon:

Thanks PC
Passed on your $ savings to my relatives, who recently
moved to March Air Reserve Base (Riverside, Ca.).
(Air Force Village West). Moved from Montana.

When they first got there they called us about their
excitement when their first LA Times was delivered.

The husband´s excitement changed to disappointment.
The wife still reads it. So, it sounds like they are similar
to your situation.

Montana --You might pass this site on to the husband who doesn't read the LA Dog Trainer. Patterico does a great job highlighting the bias.

Major Liberal Left newsrags are losing readers, advertisers, and credibility. Notably, The New York Slimes (Knee Jerk Times to some), The Washington Compost, Atlanta Urinal and Constipation, Philadelphia Izvestia, And particularly the LA Slimes. When will they figure it out? Many in the Philly area quite using it in the bird cages as the birds didn't figure it was worth crap.
