He said that the ad is very powerful and that the media shouldn't immediately discount the Swiftboat Vets testimony just because it rubs some people the wrong way. He also said that reporters are obligated to sift through the conjecture on both sides & discover the truth.

Did he write that online or did he say that on TV?

If online, do you have a link? I'd love to see it!

(I didn't think much of his last Hardball program, you see.)

Yea? Well, I'd like to see ol' Chris get started.

That would be a first! Shocked

I just watched it on the 'Hardball' late evening replay on MSNBC. My jaw almost hit the floor. He was discussing the swiftboat controversy between a democratic and republican strategist. He was playfully mocking the democratic strategist when he denounced Louis Letson. It appears that Matthews might have done some investigating. Laughing

I have e-mailed him - along with a slew of news media. The first words I print is: I AM A VET!!!! SPOUSE OF A RETIRED VET AND I WANT TO HEAR THE TRUTH! I also inform them that it is up to them to REPORT the story and let us, the American people, decide who is telling the truth. I politely inform them that they are suppressing this story and if Michael Moore had his 15 minutes on his propaganda movie then these vets should be heard also. I tell them that this country spat on these vets when they returned and the media is doing it now!!! I have gone to ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and hit all the major news icons and zapped them each an e-mail. I even e-mailed Alan Colmes tonight saying these vets need to be heard. I also question what is John Kerry hiding?

I informed them that the DNC nor Kerry campaign condemn Michael Moore's movie, nor did the condemn moveon.org comparing President Bush to Hilter or accusing him of being AWOL...so as far as I was concerned that these vets have the right to say it and if John Kerry wants to meet them on a debate then he should!

It can not hurt. I will continue to e-mail the main stream media until I see the story on their news! I zapped them all tonight wondering in John Kerry lied about Cambodia what other lies are out there? I informed them that this is a "big" story and they can either grab the brass ring and be the first one out with it or be the last to report it!
