Teddy 'girly man' Kennedy tried to pull a fast one today. OMG! I fell off the couch. Embarassed I should know by now what these lunatics are capable of, but the shock and awe still gets me every time that they could stoop so low. After break Kennedy pulls his old tricks. All documents, letters, etc. are logged when they are sent to the Senate and the House. Kennedy claims the letter came on Christmas Eve, it was NEVER logged in and it is the first time being brought to the committee, when they had time to review that letter and information about Alito's college affiliations. Spector said that letter was seen by him only one hour prior and he was livid! There is a friend of Alito's from college, I do not know if they have been in contact all these years, but he said he was willing to come before the committee to swear Alito had nothing to do with the unsavory college club and does not remember him ever being involved in anything, other than that he joined.

What a bunch of MOONBATS. Dummocrats stooping to new lows! Evil or Very Mad

Here is the chronology as it was given to me by one of my blog visitors. No link for this, sorry.

Quote:
November 30, 2005: Senator Kennedy requests Congressional Research Service to ask Rusher’s permission to examine CAP documents at Library of Congress.

Week of December 5, 2005: Rusher turns down CRS request.

December 22, 2005: Senators Kennedy sends letter to Senator Specter asking for Committee request of Rusher documents. Delivered by hand to Judiciary Committee.

Date unknown prior to 1/5/06: Kennedy staff and Specter staff discuss December 22 request.

January 5, 2006, 7:29 pm: Kennedy staff request status report from Specter staff on request regarding Rusher documents.

January 5, 2006 7:50 pm: Specter staff replies that they are not inclined to grant request because they are personal documents.

January 6, 2006, 12:01 am: Kennedy staff asks Specter staff to reconsider on basis that there are not personal documents but business records of a very public organization.

January 11, 2006: Senator Specter says he’s unaware of the request.

either the NYTimes or WashPost is reporting that Kennedy belonged to an all male lunch club, which is part of the reason, Kennedy was requesting the reports about Alito today, but of course Kennedy is allowed to be racist, murderer, sexist.

Back in those days Teddy had been told many people of wealth and fame were considered as good persons because they were philanthropists. Teddy couldn't spell, he stopped at the first word in his dictionary that resembled it and has been on the wrong side since. He still can't spell it.

In my opinion, the thrust of Kennedy's attempted stunt has been missed by us and the MSM.
He tried to move the Committee into an Executive Session for (his words) :the sole purpose of issuing a warrant to obtain records created by Judge Alito. His implication was the Judge was withholding these records from the Committee. In fact, the records he said he wanted are resident in the Library of Congress and no warrant is needed. His goal was to stall the Committee's deliberations and thereby drag out the yes/no vote that would put the nomination to the Senate floor. In short, a cheap trick.

Apparently the 'Swimmer' knew the records had already been scoured by the NYTs who found nothing. He planned to stall the Executive Session leaving his grand stand play as the final word for the 6 Oclock news.

Oops.

At the close Wednesday Leahy and crew were demanding another round of questioning for all the undelivered inuendos they still wished to sling. After Mrs. Alito's tears they took their seats this Thursday AM and caved.
