With luck there are enough right thinking people left in Lousiana to maybe make this work. Those folks need help, and not more politics as normal. _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Ronald Reagan |

Kat Landry. Love the name. Sounds like the heroine in a Lee Marvin western.
Blanco is her own worst enemy. Not only was her Katrina performance abyssmal, she just went ahead with expensive, lavish upgrading of state offices in Baton Rouge. Not smart.
I wish Ray Nagin could be swept up in the recall movement.

Heck, it doesn't take right thinking people. Blanco has managed to
torque off just about everyone. A truely bi-partisan witch from heck.

1/3 of registerd voters to sign a petition in 180 days??? Not likely. Sounds like hurdle too high. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Me thinks 1/3 of the registered voters have yet to return to the state of LA.

Sounds to me like a heck of a lot of the taxpayers dollars spent on a special election for;
1. Unlike Calif., Louisiana's recall does not provide for the election of another Governor, sooooooo
2. Mary Landrieu's little brother, Mitch, the Lt. Governor steps up to the Governors mansion, giving him incumbency in the next election aaaaannnnd
3. They have a Governors election coming next year, IIRC, in 07, anyway.
Sounds to me like just another Louisiana political stunt.
Incidentally, I spent a significant portion on my youth living there and getting my scooling there, and my family still lives there, so I am a little familiar with their politics. _________________ "In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home." --George Washington |

Better to just get a good solid candidate and run a well organized and substantive campaign in the next election and defeat the incompetent clown. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |
