				| I think his name was Chris Simcox.... said McCain has been rude to the volunteers. BOR seemed surprised. I'm not. I'll never vote for that guy again - for anything!
 ok, maybe guard at Gitmo....

He said McCain defaulted on a debate with him in Scottsdale.

also, any one hear about the minutemen taking donations for the
 fencing along the border?

				| Chris Simcox reports that they are getting a lot of calls from people volunteering to help build that fence.
As to McCain being rude to them ...wouldn't surprise me either, remember he's the one that said
Americans would NOT pick lettuce, even for $50/hour

				| McCain = Politics first - America second.
Another in the long list of folks that will never get my vote either.

				| McCain called the SBVT "dishonest and dishonorable". We should not be surprised that he might not support the minutemen.
He could have chosen to take a neutral stance and let the debate between the SBVT and Kerry take place. He didn't. He chose to judge before he knew the facts and he never changed his position.

McCain, John Kerry, Bob Kerrey and John Murtha are all examples of veterans who choose to judge on emotion or personal opinion rather than facts. This illustrates that just being a veteran shouldn't give anyone any credibility over anyone else unless he is speaking in his area of expertise concerning verifiable facts.

The SBVT presented facts. McCain called them dishonest. Nothing that McCain did in the military, including his imprisonment, justified that comment. To be fair nothing the SBVT did automatically justifies any criticism of Kerry either. The SBVT are credible not because they are veterans but because they backed up their claims with facts.

McCain's comment concerning the SBVT indicates that he should not be trusted.

				| well I gotta tell you guys - I'm not a vet but I did live thru the time span.
oh - and was a teenager and on into my twenties.

I knew guys who went to VN.

but, I didn't really follow a lot of what happened....

I just got back into it during the campaign

WHY? because I saw this very nice, polite guy talking on a news show -
and everyone was yelling that he was a liar etc....

I saw this on several channels and then said to self

'what's the deal here?' and logged onto the website below his name.

and I read for quite a while before I logged on and posted.

and I spent -hmm - probably over 500 hrs reading, posting , asking questions.... following threads and websites...
and reading military docs and fbi docs etc.
(had to get some help for some great people here to understand a bunch of it)
but I did my homework and my conclusion came up to

the Swiftboat Vets told the truth - Kerry did not (not that I even liked him before I did the research on him).

I read it with my own eyes. I don't really know any of you - so I didn't blindly take what you all said either... I tried to find SBV 'facts' that didn't hold up and tried to find Kerry 'facts' (cough, cough) that did.
 I didn't find either.

ok, that settles. We got the truth! lol!

Mr. McCain, I served aboard PCFs while I was in Viet Nam. I take deep offense at being labeled "dishonest and dishonorable" by you, a fellow veteran and former POW. Being a former POW does not endow you with extraordinary abilities and wisdom. I have the highest respect for those veterans who were unfortunate enough to have been taken prisoner by the enemy. That having been said, POW status does not exempt you from being a JERK. So, please go off somewhere with your friends, John Kerry, Bob Kerrey and John Murtha, and don't come back until you have matured enough to join genuine men of honor.

				| Buffalo - I agree. I have the highest respect for our POW's - but being one does not make you an instant saint.
just as we all know a few '*&47&&*' have worn our uniform and been to battle.

I'm still gonna listen carefully to what you say (not you Buffalo!) and what you do and how you live your life.

it's a pkg deal to me.
