Guys, forgive me if I have missed important discussion on these matters. I hope I am not posting what has alreay been hashed out but ...
There seems to be an attempt to coin the term "swift boating" to mean [to attack someone using imaginary and false things from ones past]

Just today, Murtha has used the term to defend some allegation from ABSCAM.

I think it would be healthy for the movement to take out an ad soemwhere, either TV or full page NYT, to point out that the term "swiftboating" is being used incorrectly, and state for the record what the swiftboat vets say and what is their documentation.

In the future, "swiftboating" should be seen as exposing someone who has put forward a phoney military record for political gains, and saving the american people from having false history be used as a reson to vote for a politician.
