I was getting tons of flak on another board about my facts about
Kerry (the basics - didn't even touch the medals/ phs).
of course, all of the liberals knew better...they'd done their 'homework'
before voting for him in 04....

after about 3 pages of crap slung at me... a Canadian posted
supporting my comments. She said she'd done 3 months research
on him etc etc ... and basically came up with the same stuff...
she got into it a bit more in detail than I did tho (I'd already done
that last year...)

so... imagine - a Canadian taking the time to do that! (the research part)

and it seems to have killed the thread. t hat has happened to me about
4 times in the past yr or so there...
they sling it at me (calling me names, I know nothing etc) until a few
others start posting supporting my opinion/ point / whatever...

then they all disappear... I guess they think calling me names etc will
scare me away - but it won't - as I've said before, ' I raised 4 teenagers...
I don't scare easily' lol! and I've probably already been called
more names than they know... Shocked

I have seen the same thing. I always post my opinion, and do so in a respectful way. Every time I get called names (stupid, nuts, facist) or told that I need to die! So much for the "open minded" libs!

I used to have fun in the Truthout forums tweaking the denizens there. Was looking forward to today's election but recently Truthout discontinued the forums due to the unimaginable filth and invective going on in there. Truthout admitted they had lost administrative control of the forums and moderation of them had become impossible. Good riddance and congratulations to SVPT for a sane and well-moderated forum.

and I often to feel dirty after 'conversing ' with them...

one just posted some crud (maybe from Huffington's site?); it's a bunch of
trash..doesn't really seem to make sense tho... I haven't posted back or even asked about it cause I'm just so shocked by it.... seriously shocked
(not a 'kerry, shocked, shocked type).
it is very disturbing. Anyone participating in what I read there I will putting on ignore...and I will tell them why.
