Ah,once again the 'progressive peoples' of the

world raise their voices. I recall my stay with those

describing themselves and their supporters as the

'progressive peoples' of the world. Doctor

Frederickson once again heralds their contribution to

the pursuit of 'peace.' He also heralds Nancy Pelosi

, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives as

fully within her role to go to Syria and pursue

'peace' on her own. The assertions are absurd and no

amount of writing, with dictionary perched on knee

seeking the latest seldom used word, will ever change

that.

I spent nearly a year in a camp run by

'progressive' Vietnamese,in a country they denied

being in,Cambodia. The four foot deep and five and a

half foot long underground cell I was chained in made

Abu Graeb look like a walk in the park. I was starved

, brutalized and my thirty eight wounds, including six

bullets, were treated with iodine and covered with

rags. My crime? I was a uniformed Soldier captured in

armed combat in Vietnam.

Do not ask my sympathy for terrorists who used

the civilian population as shields,so they may kill

for their God again. I was a uniformed Soldier and

covered by the Geneva Convention, but,the

'progressive' Vietnamese told me it did not apply to

them or me. As I and my fellow POWS held on, many

'progressives' from my own country journeyed to Hanoi

to praise my enemy and damn me. At that time in Hanoi

a Thai Special Forces Master Sergeant ,Chaicharn

Harnavee smuggled food and messages to his American

allies. MSG Chaicharn was not 'progressive' either.

But,he did receive the Silver Star from the United

States Army for 'gallantry ' in action. Being

'gallant' beats being 'progressive' every time.

'Advice and consent' on certain foreign policy

matters belongs to the United States Senate and not

Speaker Pelosi. Conduct of foreign policy belongs to

the Executive Branch of government. The woman can make

no deals and does not speak on behalf of any branch of

the United States Government on her jaunt. Should she

do so,she will be in violation of the Logan Act,which

precludes her from acting on her own.Though I must add

that this act has never been enforced. Why? Because we

tolerate fools loosely. After all,we have Congressman

Murtha, veteran of Vietnam but also the ABSCAM federal

sting operation talking about 'honor.'

As to the latest rant from Doctor Frederickson

and most of his other posturing,a word even he will

understand without his dictionary: NONSENSE!
