first the important part...

http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/kerry-gingrich-announce-climate-showdown-2007-04-05.html

and note that the date above is not April 1.

Of this we can all be certain...the planet's temperature is either rising, falling or staying (on average) about the same. Those who think on it, can also be fairly certain that you have to have a really big head to believe that mankind is a bigger influence than Mother Nature. I firmly believe those of us who have had to deal with Mother Nature once or twice are more sure of the latter.

But even more certain will be the entertainment value of watching a mental midget discuss the above with someone with a brain at their disposal.

Apparently, Jon CAIRey has been seared one too many times.

Don't be too excited. Newt's been hedging on the climate thing. Too, I've in mind the debacle of Jack Kemp debating Gore in '96.

Its unfortunate, because anyone who has paid attention to people such as Richard Lindzen of MIT, know the science behind the climate debate is already over and in favor of warming critics. It is purely a sophist argument and leftist movement.

I would even say it is the latest Luddite movement. Ted Kazinski should be happy.

What's really scary is that we're now listening to politicians debating the pros and cons of what has become a political rather than a scientific issue...God help us.

Richard Lindzen just wrote a new article and it is highly recommended.

I can't watch it any more. Newt is very disappointing in that he concedes that the "threat" is real as defined by the IPCC and it's wacko "scientists", and wants to argue only whether government or private enterprise is better suited to save us.

The audience is loaded with greenies and is eating out of Kerry's hand. Kerry is well-prepared and glowing under the moderator's introduction of him as having "served honorably in Vietnam."

Barf.

I can only think he wants to innoculate himself prior to commencing his campaign.

Farewell Newt. Crying or Very sad

Oh, did I mention Thompson/Inhofe '08? Smile

Well, I'ld like to say "I told you so", but even I didn't expect Newt to grab his ankles so quickly.

That ticket wouldn't bother me a bit. Inhofe seems to be the only guy in senior government who isn't afraid to say what he thinks about Gore's tripe.

Now that Newt has swilled down the koolaid and subscribes to the "humans caused it philosophy", I think this is the first time my opnion of Newt has lowered.
