In the late 90's INS had a swell program to monitor foreign nationals attending US schools. The universities happy with the income shared it with the usual gaggle of Senators who quickly gave it and the $40 million pilot project the kabosh. It likely would not have caught the monster of VT but it would have nailed several of the 9/11 crew.

Gotta love the PC chuckleheads that helped with this. The monster's letter and writings are protected by the 'Privacy Act'. This foreign national enjoys greater rights than you, me or anyone playing lacrosse for Duke.

I was fortunate to pursue undergrad in a school where a big iron on the hip (revolvers with snake shot mostly) was legal. This crap didn't happen.

We've the arguments of loose gun control, video games, dis-associative blah, blah for which nitwits get paid the big bucks. Standing at the side I suggest a hypo-chondriacle reaction to puppy love heavily enfused by a collegiate endoctrination of 'blame America first'. Bet he voted Democrat last year just to feel good.

Would greater gun control have stopped this, No. Would better ethnic awareness helped, No. Would politicians bloviating do any good, Absolutely Not.

There's evil in the world. There's mindless horror. It shouldn't be coddled or 'understood'. It should be eradicated at first instance, responded to in kind. Were it were a simpler time when the 'hue and cry' of local justice saved the state the burden of trial. Were it were a simpler time when the pebble of say a Sharpton could be removed from the shoe. No, let's have a committee, provide grief councilling and make sure no one conflates this with anything that needs be done.

hear hear,

If I might add, the pictures and video of guys hugging and crying each other was a bit too much for me to take. What the hell has happened to men in this country?

We need to start working young boys around the age of 13. No video games, just hard work.

Character is much needed and we must get young men away from their mothers teat.

Good article about taking it to these whackos, rather than passively waiting it out.
