I recently found a Funk & Wagnalls Company Atlas of the New Europe and the Far East published in 1922 showing the new Countries and new Boundaries resulting from the Great War and from the Treaties of Peace with Explanatory Historical, Political and Economic Articles.

So far, I scanned the articles and maps for France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Great Britain, and the newly created Palestine. The article about the newly formed Soviet Government is pretty interesting as is the article on Palestine. The article on Germany leaves no doubt that after World War I, Germany lost all of their mining areas which left them broke and bitter. Anyways, some pretty interesting stuff that I thought I would share. I will scan other countries as time permits.

You can download the PDF Here.

On page 16, there are several books offered for sale:

The Immigration Problem

Lessons on Tuberculosis and Consumption

Getting Your Name in Print

Not much has changed in 85 years. Well, maybe one thing has changed. Shipping & handling on all three items is a whopping thirty-eight cents!

I scanned that page because of the irony of the titles. Nothing really has changed except maybe the current need for the book Words We Misspell in Business and no need for French Grammar Made Clear.
