Trying to plan next years trip and I cannot find a way to purchase tickets direct online. Seems I have to go through ticket agents.

I was wondering if I purchase both bunks to a 1st class berth, will this be secure for expensive photo gear or will I have to bring cheap/lighter photo gear and keep on me at all times. How much will this cost?

Would the Mongolian route be better for photo opportunities?

Thanks for any info.
