This is a startling list of quotes and well-worth archiving, but they are unsourced. In an attempt to source them, I started with #1, "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

Perhaps not surprisingly, a Google News search was unproductive (at least as far as I got down the list) in producing any MSM documentation (there are many "right wing" references to the quote, but only one [thus far] with an unlinked attribution to a NY Post article...which I have yet to research) of the purported quote...until I got to a "Snopes" reference ...which reproduced the above post verbatim in their "Politics/Clintons" section (interestingly enough, the page itself, as you will note, is "marxist.asp").

Not unexpectedly (knowing Snopes' political sympathies), "Snopes" confirms that the quotes are accurate (with some links)...and then commences to present a (cough) "out of context" argument for each and every comment...in other words...HILLARY'S BEEN OUTED...AND HERE'S HOW TO SPIN IT.

You can decide for yourself whether the "Snopes" spin is effective or not (my own opinion is that it's weak rhetoric and easily rebuttable), but my main purpose was to confirm the accuracy of the quotes...which Snopes has done.

I'll continue to look for MSM sourcing for each and every quote. If you find one, post it up and add it to the list above.

edit: Snopes does provide some links to source material/me#1

Well...here's a start...

(3) "(We) . . can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

(4) "We have to build a political consensus a nd that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."

(5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."

(6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched."

Keep an eye out on Hillary's health care plan; it will criminalize every US citizen.

Why would the government and Hillary in particular do this? So she and anyone else in the government can threaten and or put in jail anyone they please.

Her last plan created something like 5000 new felonies.

Orwellian? Damn right it is. And the Republicans are not to be let off the hook either. Our country has become a police state and it needs to change. The feds have way too much power.

I remember when HealthSouth CEO Scunchy was found not guilty, the Federal Prosecutor whined that Scrunchy used unfair practices to beat the system. What unfair practices was this power deranged prosecutor speaking of?

Scrunchy had given money to all of the churches in the community where HealthSouth was headquartered and the Federal DA missed it before trial. Had the DA known this, he would have moved the trial to another area, yet are we not to be judged by a jury of our peers?

Do we not have a right to have the community where we live decide whether we are fit to live with them or not?

Rare is it that a person can beat a federal rap, yet Schunchy did it precisely as our system was intended to work. A jury of his peers found him not guilty.

Snopes does correctly point to a CNN "Presidential Forum" transcript as the source for 3, 4 and 5. QUOTE #3, as posted in the original, does contain an error in that it omits a ... (what is that called anyway?) to indicate redacted text. The text should read (and, I believe, accurately redacts)...

(3) "(We)...can't...just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

With this correction, thus far we have...

Sorry about the long link but here's sourcing for #6:

By the way, I found Ask.Com a bit easier for these types of searches.

Snopes used to be one of my favorite sites on the internet but I rarely visit and never recommend it any more. The blatant bias during the last election was nauseating.

Twice, I sent them source material and copies of documents to shore up accusations against John Kerry which snopes had listed as "False," and both times, the information was ignored. The source material was never referenced in their outright refutations.

You are, of course, correct in identifying the bias prevalent at Snopes NNN. However, I don't mind admitting that I take some snarkish pleasure in sometimes extracting useful information (as in this case) from their website.

Oh, and with Goophy's link, we have 'em all...
