McCain's temper and alleged mendacity, which appear to be the gist of the article, are the least of his problems. Without getting into those types of "character" issues, McCain has managed to garner a rousing 13% in Iowa according to this morning's CNN poll. His political track record post-Vietnam is, IMHO, too tough a sell to the GOP base as it is currently comprised.

Nonetheless, were he to somehow garner the nomination, I'd vote for him in a NY Minute over anything the dems have to offer.

I might vote for him, but I wouldn't be a happy camper and it would take a lot longer than a NY minute.

Because of his involvment in the MIA/POW issue with Hanoi John, he won't get my vote, and neither will any of the current potential Dem. candidates.
None of them are fit to be CinC or President.

McCain should be an honorary North Vietnamese ace for destroying 5 U.S. planes. Laughing
