I have heard Sen. McCain say several times that he led the largest company of men. This is the first time I have heard that he was the leader of a large group of soldiers.

McCain's Senate record is enough to keep him out of the White House.

My feeling as well.

Actually, it *is* a cheap shot.

I am no McCain fan. In fact, I detest the man and think that he has done some truly despicable and dangerous things as a Senator.

But whining about preferential treatment for Admirals' sons fifty years after the fact is pretty silly. Preferential treatment for the progeny of Admirals is a fact of life, then and now. It wasn't his fault, so trying to pin it on him is a cheap shot. Not worthy of anyone on this board.

And holding him accountable for downing his own plane in the Forrestal case is, indeed, a cheap shot. We don't need to pull crappy stunts like this.

Truth will win, all by itself, without embellishments or cheap tricks.

Truth will win, just like it did when it stood up and knocked down the delusional aspirations of one John Fraud Kerry, four years ago.

here's another cheap shot
from the cheap shot artist

A bill including criminal penalties for deliberately withholding POW/MIA records in violation of the law unanimously passed the House of Representatives in the 1990s. However, as also reported by Sydney Schanberg, such penalties were stripped from the law due to the efforts of former POW John McCain.

Remember the long article written by Navy Chief about his days serving on the POW/MIA Senate Committee? Chief deleted it, and I can not quote specifically; however, seems like I remember him being livid with McCain and Kerry for destroying the POW/MIA documents they had that seemed to be some of the best leads they had.

Here is the link to that entire article written by Sydney Schanberg, author of The Killing Fields which was made into a movie of the same name. http://www.aiipowmia.com/sea/schanberg_mccain.html After looking up the author and reading his bio on several sites, he sounds like he is pretty level-headed. I may be wrong, but it is certainly worth a read.

I just can not like McCain or trust him as our POTUS.

I do remember that article and it was quite damning of McCain. Kerry and McCain were in cahoots on that bit of skullduggery.

I do remember that missive that Navy chief wrote and have conducted a search on this forum for it a few times trying to find it. No wonder I didn't have any luck.
Wish it hadn't had to be deleted.
Sure hope McCain is not the nominee, it would pain me to have to vote for him. Considering the alternatives, there would be no choice but to do so.
