Perhaps I'm reading this wrong, but Rasmussen appears to suggest a fairly rapid Romney surge developing...and note that the Rasmussen "national" data is a "four-day rolling average".
Hmmmm....

Even after receiving the endorsement of Georgia’s two United States Senators, John McCain finds himself in a tight three-way race in that Southern State’s Primary. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds McCain attracting 31% of the vote while Mitt Romney picks up 29% and Mike Huckabee gets 28%.
However, the race remains amazingly fluid just days before voters go to the polls. Twelve percent (12%) of Georgia’s Likely Republican Primary Voters say there’s a good chance they could change their mind before voting. Another 22% say they might change their mind.
Before McCain’s significant victory Florida’s Presidential Primary, Huckabee was leading by fifteen percentage points in Georgia. Now, Romney appears to be gaining some “Anybody-but-McCain” support. The former Massachusetts Governor has struggled in the South throughout the campaign.

Ron Paul is supported by 6% of Likely Republican Primary Voters (see recent daily numbers). Romney leads by sixteen percentage points among conservatives while McCain has a two-to-one advantage among moderate Primary Voters.
In general election match-ups, McCain leads Clinton 45% to 41% and Obama leads Romney 46% to 41%. A week ago, McCain had an eight-point lead over Clinton and Obama had a nine-point lead over Romney. New match-ups will be added in the coming days.
Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. The next Presidential Tracking Poll update is scheduled for Monday at 11:00 a.m.

That is a more conservative segment of the Republican Party and more focused on the election at this time.

Other national surveys based upon interviews with adults or registered voters show a larger lead for McCain. The Rasmussen Reports data shows some “Anybody-but-McCain” support building for Romney among activists.
