I have been broken-hearted and fearful ever since election day.

But, this guy is scarier every day. He doesn't seem to have the slightest grasp on how things work and he seems like a bull in a china shop - charging in and upsetting things right and left. No comprehension of how his actions are affecting anything. Utterly clueless.

Lord, save us!

Navy, I said basically the same thing to my better half just this morning, albeit in slightly different phrasing.
What I said was, "I wonder how much longer before everybody, including the media, figures out that this clown does not have a clue about what he is doing."

I guess this means that Obama is paying the actual cost of his Secret Service protection? Wink

I think we can expect to see more of these in the coming months. Not just vets but the whole concept of "trial balloons". Where they don't dare put the question into polling data but rather "leak" something to test the waters.

It strikes me as very odd that while a white house spokesman is playing the tap dance of the can't confirm or deny, the actual secretary not only confirms it, says its "under consideration". Either Shinseki is being used as a stalking horse or he found it out and blew the whistle.

This is so far out there its inconceivable as a viable proposal. What I'm puzzled over is what is the REAL issue/alternative. This administration in two months has shown it has two faces - what is the other face on this one?

Maybe AIG should be paying for Vets instead of handing out millions in bounuses courtesy of the taxpayers and funding the retirement plans of CONGRESS.

AIG to make $165 million in bonus payments
Even though it received taxpayer bailout of more than $170 billion

It is not beyond these scoundrels to create a diversion to draw attention away from the real issues, if only long enough to make another secret end run around the Constitution. They have done it on several occasions, and the result has been sneaking more power grabs and plundering of the treasury and ripping more chunks of the Constitution away while we were "outraged" at the distraction. These people are absolutely diabolical. I can't imagine they actually intended to go through with this outrage, but it may have served its purpose for them. It certainly caused outrage and distraction....but from what? That may be yet to be discovered.
