Well, Kerry's most recent effort of support could just lose Florida for him. He is not going to Florida to support the disaster relief. He says that his presence would be "a distraction". So when did he become such a spectacular and important person that would distract people who had just lost their homes and businesses. He really is a self important twit. These people have more important things to worry about than whether he is there or not. He is right though, he would just get in the way.

He is supporting Florida about as well as he supported you Vietnam Vets. Now he is doing it to the people that he wants to elect him. He sent his aids in and told them to do whatever they can to help. I find it funny, actually, I find it a tragedy that he only went that far.

HHHHMMMMMM, I wonder if he will send any disaster relief money from his personal fortune. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. What a joke!

So again, he is turning his back on the people of America.

Can't wait to see how he puts a spin on this one. He will probably say that he was there and then flip flop on where and when.

copsden,

SSSHHHHHH!!!!! We don't want him flip-flopping on this one. He doesn't need to be in FL doing anything useful or helpful and getting good press for it.

I have already read that the president is going to Florida to help the
people and of course, his brother. It is good for him to go as it is
important to people in times like these to know he cares enough to come
and see what is happening.

Kerry probably bugged out when he knew the president was going.
It is too bad even caring about the people can become a political issue.
However, that is what happens.

He has not said a word in his own defense, and I wonder if the dem
control of the puppet , (that they seem to do so badly because he is always out there, removing one foot from his mouth so he can put in the other one) are just keeping him quiet because he can not remember what
he said yesterday much less years ago. He would really finish himself
off and what a relief that would be! Wink

I'm surprised the Bush Bashers haven't accused President Bush of orchestrating Hurricane Charley so he could gain votes by giving disaster relief funds to Florida so he will look like a savior.

They're not claiming he orchestrated it; they're just claiming he scheduled it.

Stop Hanoi John and Scott,

Cynic that I am, I've had the same thought. I wonder how long it will take for the sniping to begin.

I posted this yesterday and the thread was moved to Geedunk. Kerry has chosen to go windsurfing this week instead. No matter how they try to spin it against Bush he can't explain that. Semper Fi.

I hate to stick up for F'inK, but come on... He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He stays out of Florida and everone piles on. Yet if he went to Florida, everyone would be screaming about how he's exploiting the disaster to try and get in the spotlight.

I think he did the right thing by saying that he gives his "full support to the president and governor as the people of Florida rebuild their communities and their lives.''

Not that I haven' had cynical thoughts about this, though: Would Kerry keep Florida at arm's length during this emergency if he were trailing in the Florida polls?

Since he's "damned" either way then where's the harm in going to Florida. Anyway he was damned 35 years ago so it's a moot point. Twisted Evil
