If the 8,000 people who contributed would get their parents and brothers/sisters to contribute even $5 each, next report would show 50,000 donors - that cannot be ignored by the media.

FWIW, all our "small" contributions make it clear that this organization is not funded by a Replican fat cats. It also shows widespread support. I'm sure the Swiffies are happy to get any contribution, no matter how small.

Yes, the MSM keeps referring to the organization being funded by a rich Texas Republican. (As if Perry's $100,000 stands up against Soros' MILLIONS Rolling Eyes

)

There are over 8,000 contributors for around half a million to Swifts.

They're not going to be able to say that this organization is a bunch of rich Republicans when the thousands of $5, $20 & $50 donations finally makes it onto the internet.

let's come up with a GREAT message in this regard. There's SO much dedication, talent and energy in this forum...let's harness some in creating a dynamic request for financial support for the Swiftees.

These brave men have hung it ALL out, once again, and have answered that instinctual call to duty, honor, and country. Let's see how we can back them up here.

Someone volunteer ( or volunteer SOMEONE Wink

- preferably one of our better scribes) to co-ordinate this task via PM. Or, if you wish, perhaps consider using Dwight's new group on Yahoo. (I'd like to keep the process off the forum)

When you come up with a final draft, forward it to either EJ or myself via PM, and we'll place it in the "Announcement" area of each forum. Wanna get creative? Get creative (graphics...etc etc).

How's that sound?

Somebody put up a mailing address for this effort. I don't like putting credit cards on the internet. I'd rather send a check. I do have a paypal account, but I don't trust that a whole lot.

I just gave for the first time. It was small but I believe so strongly in the cause. It feels so good to do something. Please give even if it's only 5 bucks. It's so much better than waking up and seeing "Kerry wins"in the headline of the paper.
I also have a sign on my barn that says Kerry = taxes and terrorism
the size of a tractor trailer! Thanks everyone
